Rio Salado BIO 156 Final Question..

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

I regret dropping the class because now I want to take it again! Ugh! I hate myself.

Anyway, I still have all my notes and information. I pretty much completed up to the mid-term then decided I couldn't do bio + math and stay sane.

So anyway, my question is... is the bio 156 mid-term/final the same for all teachers? Like if I picked a different teacher, would the coursework & tests be similar?

With my teacher for the mid-term we had to study 6 or so ADL questions every week and answer in an essay.

I'd like to get a head start if I take it again and make sure I don't fail the midterm.

Well I hope you all did great with the midterm, as for me, I didnt get to take it today at all. I called the testing center and they was suppose to have set it up for me and did not, to top it off I was in the ER with mom all day today. So I dont know but I am taking the course over again and I will be taking A/P in the classroom as well. For me, it is hard because I live in GA, and I need my preq so when I move I can make application, but the coursework is great to get me accustom to AP 1

How did you do?

How hard was the midterm?

I guess I better start thinking about what other course to take to bring my GPA back up in lieu of this course. I think I am going to take AP during the summer in the classroom and just transfer the course into Rio.

I'm no expert on nursing school admissions, but it seems that they have minimum course requirements, but not a minimum gpa? So don't sweat it too much. That is why I dropped though, I feel I can get an A in the classroom so I decided to take the "W" for now. Life is a lot better not having to teach myself biology...

Anyone still in this class? Final is this week and I am dreading it, there is just so much to remember. Anyone left??

Yeah, I'm curious too... is there anybody out there? I'm enrolled to take it in the fall, in the classroom, with a real teacher. Wasn't at all impressed with the online thing. Gotta send a shout out for PSY240 online at rio though, it was an absolute joke. Easiest A ever.

You must have had a great instructor, who did you have? I took psy101 and had a really hard time barely pulling off an A. My instructor was terrible, RG, she just did not even try and then marked my papers down with no explanation, very frustrating. Good luck with BIO 156 in the fall, I think you will be happier taking it in class, I wish I had.

PM or email me for instructor recommendation for Psy240.

Bio 156 I also am out, I really tryed hard to hang in there for this class, but I had so so so much going on, and just fell behind, I am finishing up my psy 101 course now, I was able to get an extension, being that my mom is very sick. but not my Bio 156 course, I will most likely take it one more time though, I did find it helpful, just very strict in that you must stay on course and there is no room for error. Let me know how that final go.

Are the tests on-line too? Or do you have to go the site to test?

The coursework is online, but the mid-term and final are taken at a testing center. Basically the quizes are open book, there are a lot of essays and lab assignments due- everything is done online from home except the mid-term and final. Only allowed pencil and blank paper on the mid-term and finals. 4 essay questions on each midterm/final. The class requires a lot of studying and work but it is definitely "doable". :nuke:

Bio 156 is the step before ap 1 and 2... Also long as you take the time and yes it takes alot of your time to do the labs, and essays you will do fine. I like my instructor he seems to care about things and takes the time to write you long follow up emails if you are low in any area...
