Rio Salado BIO 156 Final Question..

I regret dropping the class because now I want to take it again! Ugh! I hate myself.

Anyway, I still have all my notes and information. I pretty much completed up to the mid-term then decided I couldn't do bio + math and stay sane.

So anyway, my question is... is the bio 156 mid-term/final the same for all teachers? Like if I picked a different teacher, would the coursework & tests be similar?

With my teacher for the mid-term we had to study 6 or so ADL questions every week and answer in an essay.

I'd like to get a head start if I take it again and make sure I don't fail the midterm.

The coursework is the same, the midterm and finals are about the same as well. The essay questions will be different on the exams. I suggest you save your coursework, but don't try to use any of the essay's you wrote and turned in previously, they will consider that cheating.

This is not true none of the questions from my homework assignments were on the midterm, anyone taking this class do NOT go by your homework assignments, as this is misleading. I highly recommend doing the chapter reviews @ the end of each chapter a few weeks before your midterm and final.

I did not do well on my midterm. I would have done better if my teacher would have guided me in a better direction as to what would be on the test. None of the questions that were from our homework assignments were on the midterm, the only way I could have done better was to do ALL of the assignments in the chapter reviews in the book. That is alot of homework to be doing with quizzes and essays on top of that. Makes you wonder if they are making this class harder on purpose to discourage students. I had a better chemistry class through south mountain cc and didn't even have crazy amounts of homework like this bio156 class. I will be reporting my teacher @ the end of this class and giving them a very low evaluation as my teacher has already shown poor judgement after grading a lab assignment i did.

My next biology class will be taken @ one of the other community colleges.

So for anyone that reads this post regarding the midterms and finals I would highly recommend not going by your quizzes from the homework assignments. Do the review in the back of each chapter

did you or anyone else use the online concepts & connections through pearson the publishing company?

i was just curious because there is about 40 multiple choice questions to review for each chapter. i was wondering if those may be where the midterm and final questions "drawn" from. i am in bio 156 and have an high a but am getting nervous about the midterm. so far i really like my instructor. i haven't seen anyone mention the online resources. . did i miss it somewhere? thanks!
