How much time are you spending on this class per week, and how do you like your instructor?

I am considering taking this class with the lab at Rio Salado this fall to fill my schedule, has anyone taken this? I would like to know what the class consist of and the work load. Any input would be great!! TIA

I heard recently between 27.00 and 29.00/hr but it probably really depends on the hospital.

You must have had a great instructor, who did you have? I took psy101 and had a really hard time barely pulling off an A. My instructor was terrible, RG, she just did not even try and then marked my papers down with no explanation, very frustrating. Good luck with BIO 156 in the fall, I think you will be happier taking it in class, I wish I had.

Anyone still in this class? Final is this week and I am dreading it, there is just so much to remember. Anyone left??

I am just finishing up Bio156 through Rio, it is a lot of work because of the fact that it is online. A lot of reading, research, and writing. I will probably end up with a B in the class, but I really think I could have got an A if I had taken this class in person. But I totally understand where your coming from, with kids and life I just could not take this class in person. I would worn you there are some not so great online instructors through Rio, mine was great, she really put an effort into the class and you can tell she really wants you to get this stuff as it is a basis for everything else. My instructor was JN, pm me if you need her full name. Final and midterm are worth half your grade so that can kind of bring your grade down, and the summer class will be really fast paced, but you can do it, good luck.

Sounds like they are hiring some new grads. "Hospitals across the Valley also are cutting back on hiring nurses straight out of school, preferring more experienced care givers. However, Dickson said he is seeking both. A new program recently developed at Thunderbird allows the nursing staff to accommodate more new graduates. “New grads still need training and supervision before they become independent in running a nursing unit,” he said. “We have hired a lot of new grads recently. We pair them up with an experienced nurse, learning more about what they need to do when they become completely independent.”

I hear ya, I got a D on my last math test, and I have another one Tues. I must must must do better!!! I only have 4 test for a final grade so even if I do well on the next 3 test i will be lucky to pull a C or B-. I really hate math

I did not do as well as I would have liked, I ran out of time during the last essay. I guess I should be happy that I did ok, now that I know what to expect I think I will do better on the final. Really I should be happy with how I did, I had a terrible week this week, my hard drive crashed and I lost everything so I have been at my moms house all day studying with two sick kids. I am enjoying a diet coke and vodka tonight, I think I earned it!! How did everyone else do?

Good Luck to everyone going to take the midterm today!! I am headed out here in a few hours. I have studied for hours everyday this week so I guess I have either got this stuff or I don't, we'll see.

I have not taken the exam yet, I will take it fri or sat, I need all the time I can get to study lol. I am doing ok, I have had 2 kids sick for almost a week, fevers of 103.5, so I am trying to cram in studying bewteen sick kids. Right now I am working on essays that I fell behind on, I am a little worried about the test because it is worth so much of the grade. How are you doing? Sounds like your doing great!!
