Hi all!
I'm in a process of applying to the Resurrection University (formerly West Suburban College of Nursing) for BSN Spring 2011 program (generic 16 months option). I started this thread to get and give some support along the process. Let's help each other out and maybe get know better before the semester starts! I'm about to start my final (fall) semester at Wilbur Wright College, I already took the TEAS exam, submitted my online application, letters of recommendation and essay. I'm just waiting for my official transcript with summer school grades. I'll be going for the guaranteed admission program. If anyone has questions or just want to share his/hers experiences- please post your comments! GOOD LUCK Y'ALL !! :)
I agree with digitiminimi, most of us know about the negative things people say about ResU. I have my reasons to apply there- 16 months program and the perspective of being hired by Resurrection Healthcare after graduation. That's what matters to me the most. I come from community college, so I'm used to crappy teachers and learning most of the stuff on my own with a pretty good outcomes.
My daughter is in the 16 month program. I wish you guys all the best. The quality of the education what will matter most in the long run. Right now I just don't see it. Some semester classes are compressed into a quarter and there is just no way to cover the material in a comprehensive way. It has been one big cram session so far. I strongly recommend getting a head start. The 2nd patho test covers 18 chapters and you will have about 2 weeks to learn it.

I think that most of us know/have read about all the negative things people say about ResU and have still decided to apply to the school for various reasons. For me, the 16-month BSN was the main deciding factor. Thanks for the heads up.
