Hi all!
I'm in a process of applying to the Resurrection University (formerly West Suburban College of Nursing) for BSN Spring 2011 program (generic 16 months option). I started this thread to get and give some support along the process. Let's help each other out and maybe get know better before the semester starts! I'm about to start my final (fall) semester at Wilbur Wright College, I already took the TEAS exam, submitted my online application, letters of recommendation and essay. I'm just waiting for my official transcript with summer school grades. I'll be going for the guaranteed admission program. If anyone has questions or just want to share his/hers experiences- please post your comments! GOOD LUCK Y'ALL !! :)
Those of you reading this thread. If you are applying the Resurrection for a BSN because you were turned down or wait-listed elsewhere, I completely understand. If Res U is one of many schools you are able to choose to attend. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. As I parent of a student, I cannot express my frustration strongly enough. I recommend taking patho somewhere else first or get the book now and start studying it. The patho teach is aweful, the tests are confusing, the vast majority of students in the patho class are barely passing...FYI. There are some good teachers there but the school as a whole is unorganized and the bad teachers are very bad
Average GPA of students admitted for spring 2010 was around 3.1, even if you are not going to make the guaranteed admission, but your GPA is higher than 3.1 and your science grades are decent, you still have a big chance to be accepted. In that case you are probably gonna find out around November. But let's keep our fingers crossed for the guaranteed admission :)
I dont want all my posts to be negative. So here you go. My student did not go the guaranteed route. they scored a 76 on the teas. 3.2 GPA. All prereqs accomplished. Met all criteria for admission except the 80 on the teas. Had to wait until July to hear but was accepted. The person who took the physiology class as a prep...sounds like a great idea.

You are great thank you! I did notice that but wasn't sure if it was supposed to change or not.
