Hi all!
I'm in a process of applying to the Resurrection University (formerly West Suburban College of Nursing) for BSN Spring 2011 program (generic 16 months option). I started this thread to get and give some support along the process. Let's help each other out and maybe get know better before the semester starts! I'm about to start my final (fall) semester at Wilbur Wright College, I already took the TEAS exam, submitted my online application, letters of recommendation and essay. I'm just waiting for my official transcript with summer school grades. I'll be going for the guaranteed admission program. If anyone has questions or just want to share his/hers experiences- please post your comments! GOOD LUCK Y'ALL !! :)
Average GPA of students admitted for spring 2010 was around 3.1, even if you are not going to make the guaranteed admission, but your GPA is higher than 3.1 and your science grades are decent, you still have a big chance to be accepted. In that case you are probably gonna find out around November. But let's keep our fingers crossed for the guaranteed admission :)
I meet the criteria for guaranteed, 3.0 for science so far, and 3.4 for other classes depending on what they decide to use.
And an 87 on the exam, so that should be okay. I didn't write a personal statement, but I did everything else. Thanks for the feedback and support! This is easing my mind.
Hi Guys! I have a tip for those still waiting for the call from ResU, you can actually check the status of your application on your online account. Before I got a call from ResU staff, my Student Status changed from "Application Completed" to "Application Accepted". Log in to wscn.edu with your username and password. At the bottom of your internet account there should be a link transfering you to "Site Index" click it, and then find and click "My information" under "My profile". You will be able to see the status of your application. If the decision hasn't been made yet, your "Student Status" will say "Application Completed", but if you have been accepted it will say "Application Accepted". Maybe you arleady know this, but I thought that for those of you who don't it might be helpful!
