To respond to your initial inquiry- I've worked as a CNA, EMT, LPN and currently, am an RN.

And yes, I've experienced condescending people. However, they were unpleasant people in general, not just to me, to everyone.

I've found that if I do my job well- whatever my job was at the time, I don't have a problem with my coworkers.

Oh, one more thing- you have to give respect to get respect. From reading some of your responses, I'm not quite sure that's a concept you're familiar with.

Yes, please let's just stick to the initial topic. Your post is greatly appreciated

WOW fellow nurses no comments and only 1 like but alot of views. So no one has experienced what I am talking about???? I find that very hard to believe
Nope. My experience differed from yours. My four years as an LVN were reasonably good and formed the foundation for the remainder of my nursing career. I was not made to feel less than anyone else on the nursing hierarchy.

In my expereince, most patients don't measure nurses by their PN or RN designations, they measure nurses by their attitudes and personality traits and prefer nurses who are motivated, conscientious and intelligent.

Not patients but people and other nurses.

Based on reading the original post, I'm surprised your friend got a 93% on that English paper. Frankly, you come across here as a bit childish and unsophisticated.

I measure my colleagues this way, it is actually pretty common for staff to measure colleagues by personality traits not by designations.
