When I was an aide I used to enjoy listening to some of the elderly residents. During nursing school I worked for an agency and often picked up shifts at a personal care home. I often paced my work such that I'd have time to chat and then I'd skip breaks. I found that more relaxing (and rewarding) then rushing my work so that I'd have time to sit and... watch 15 minutes of TV? Do homework? Stare at a cement breakroom wall? Smoke?

I spent Only 20 minutes listening to my 91 yr. Old resident reminsence on his life. So when I politely excused myself from our conversation he say" well, aren't you a cheap date" he proceeded to say that I'm the type of girl that will be ready to end a date after walking around the block one time.
This tickled me so I thought I would share it with you all.
