Request Copy of NCLEX Passing Letter

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone here can help how to request a copy on NCLEX Passing Letter from California Board of Nursing. I passed the NCLEX in 2007 and now I am applying in US but they required the copy NCLEX Passing Letter which I don't have.

Did you apply to the NY BON for a license? You should apply and discuss licensing matters directly with the NY BON, they know how to obtain NCLEX results.

Have you tried contacting CA BRN and asking them, they at the end of the day are the ones that need to provide this letter

CA BON won't have a copy of the NCLEX results, they destroyed the file after the OP did not show a SSN within three years. NCSBN should have record of the NCLEX results and NY BON should know how to obtain them.

You can't. It's been 9 years. If you haven't been licensed and work in as a nurse in the US in the past 8 years CA requires you to reapply and retake the nclex. They stopped issuing nclex pass letters quite a while ago. The form is no longer available on the BRN website as its now been >3 years and the files have been destroyed. NCSBN/Pearson from what I understand do not maintain nclex pass letters from that long ago for those who never were licensed as a nurse in the US.

If you don't have your letter from 2007 you may have to retake the nclex in the new state applying fir a nursing license by examination as an IEN. If you have your letter from 9 years ago you could try submitting a copy of that and hope for the best

edited to add: CABRN used to have a form to confer passing the nclex for a fee but it was removed two or three years ago when the last filed expired for not having a valid SSN.

jhonjhus I think you should send an email to the NYBON explaining your situation, they will know how you should apply for licensure. I also think you should be wary of the recruitment agency, I suspect they may be scamming you, NY currently has a surplus of local qualified applicants and they do not need to recruit off shore.

Right Now I have only a copy of notification that I passed the NCLEX-RN and need SSN, now A Staffing company in US where I apply to work o request the NCLEX Pass Letter; Can you please help me to answer the following;

1. To what address I should the request

2. What should a letter contains

3. If there is fee how much and to whom i will address the money order.

bolded above. What you already have is all CABRN would provide if they still did nclex pass verification. Again have you worked as a nurse in the past decade while outside the US? You still need to apply for an initial nursing license by examination as you were never licensed as a nurse in the US. The application process for NY takes 6-9 months for CVS and BoN review.

Hi! Any news about your California nclex pass letter? Were u able to process it? I do have the same problem now. My employer is requiring me to submit the pass letter to file the petition. What's the best way to process such request?

Hi. Can anyone help me out. I wanted to ask how I can ask NMI send a copy of my pass letter to CGFNS? In CGFNS it says waiting for pass test results. What does that mean? I don't know how to get that. Please help. Thanks

I wondered how did you get on with obtaining an NCLEX-RN candidate report from CA BON? Did you manage to obtain a copy with your picture on it?

I have the same dilemma and just really want an info if it is still possible as passed the exam in 2007.

You need to write a letter to CA BRN, indicating where you want the NCLEX-RN results sent to. You have to include as much information as possible in your request as CA BRN might have difficulty retrieving your file if i thas been a while since you passed the exam.

You also include a check for $60 with your request, payable to BOARD OF REGISTERED NURSING.

The CA BRN websites says it takes them 2-4 weeks to process NCLEX-RN results. Mine took about 10 days.
