Salary seems to be a fuzzy topic when it comes to new grads, the students in my cohort all have different expectations. We were wondering what all of you at allnurses would have to say. Hopefully, you are comfortable to share your starting salary.
If you have started as a new grad in the last 4 years, please reply with the city/state/department/ADN or BSN and hourly rate.
We are hoping it will be beneficial to know what to expect vs getting sticker shock! Thank you allnurses!

I work in a large urban city, and I'll leave it at that. I make approximately 32,500 a year.
To put that in perspective, a manager at a mcdonalds makes more than I do. And I do work full time nights.

Hi, everyone: I am a new graduated nurse with ADN. Is there any job recommend?
I keep hearing medsurg, medsurg, medsurg, to help hone ones skills and round out the education. I tend to take the advice of those more experienced than myself… anyones thoughts?
