ADN nurse with Non Nursing Bachelors

Hello!

I am an ADN nurse with a non nursing bachelors degree. I have heard there are programs that allow you to get a bachelors/masteres innursing all inclusive in one accelerated program. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions for this? I have looked into accelerated masters but I can't seem to find any combo programs.

What state are you in? Look at your state's universities, see if they offer an ASN-MSN course.

Thanks Lennonninja. I live in Ca and yes there are programs that have ADN-MSN but I want a program that will give me a BSN and MSN.

Look at the fine print; a lot of those programs do award a BSN in the process, they just don't indicate that in the the name of the program.

If it really matters to you, you could complete an online BSN completion program and then pursue any graduate program that interests you (without being limited to just the ones that accept ADN-prepared nurses).

The University of Alabama has an RN to BSN/MSN program. I'm not sure what you mean by accelerated, so it might not fit what you are looking for. But you get awarded your BSN on the way to your MSN. See the pdf to see how the credits work out and how long it takes:

I think UW Madison has a BSN completion to MSN program.

Frontier has a MSN program and I think they have an RN to MSN portion and a RN with another bachelors direct entry MSN program for CNM, FNP, and women's health NP. They're in most states.
