Site says 45 days, but really you should be thinking positively :)

Is it that you failed or that you are looking forward to failing?Well,i dont really know how long it takes for you to retake since CA BON has one year to take the exams unlike 3months as of other boards.i believe you can find out about that thru the BON.Goodluck Dear!!

Hi Lillyjohn,

I also took my exam on Wed. Aug 1st, just two days ago. Wait for couple more days to check online if you pass or not. Stay positive. I was a wreck on Wednesday and yesterday, but I've realized that I have to be positive.

I don't know how long your exam took. Mine was for the whole stretch. Yeah, I had all 265 questions which took me exactly 6 hours. I've been reading different stories posted here and they give me hope. So just relax and we'll do fine.

As for your question regarding retake schedule. I read that at least 45 days must pass before you can reapply to take it again.

:)

Hi,

Thanks for all of you. i took my exam on 08/02/2007. mine is CA BON.So i cannot even get my quick results. My exam was really tough & i ran out of time at my 220 Q.

That's y i'm big worried. I'm an optimistic, still little scared because of those questions & my performance, not even completed the total 265 within given time.

I'm really worried still.........................don't know what to do?

But thanks for all of you giving me the hope.

Thanks

Lilly

I checked my name online this morning and unfortunately it's NOT on it. I have a classmate who took it the same time and his name is on it after three days. At this point I've already set my mind that I have failed. Of course I cried but it's only for five minutes. I have been a positive person my whole life, this isn't going to break me.

Whatever your result is, it's okay to be down for a few minutes. Rise up and plan for next time. However, I do hope that you passed. If you need to vent out, use this site. It's a good outlet.

hi ,

which is your board of nursing? is it ca bon?

online means www.rn.ca.gov? where you couldn't find your name?

if it is ca bon, please let me know where can i find my name in that?

thanks

lilly

I too it in CA. Since you took your on Aug. 2nd, wait until Monday to check your name online. Go to www.rn.ca.gov Click on the permanent RN license on the right of the screen. Then it will bring you to a window where you have to type your name. Hit Find. When your name appears that means you passed and you are now an RN.

I took my test a day earlier than you. I will check again on Monday to see if my name is there. I remember taking my test late in the day, so hopefully that's the reason why my name hasn't shown up. It's wishful thinking until I receive something in the mail.

Good luck and let me know if you passed.

Hi,

What you have said is applicable for foreign trained nurses also? or only for US graduates? Because i tried to find my name now. But my name is not there. I'm a overseas nurse.

Please reply me.

Thanks

Lilly

Oh in that case it might not be applicable to you. You have to have a US social security number I believe in order to get a quick result. You might just have to wait for your result in the mail. Let me find out how it works for foreign nurses. Don't lose hope. By the way, is this your first time to take NCLEX?
