Really bumbed no baby in uterus (yet???)

Well I have been on this board I recently transfered from APU to L&D this post is personal though since I don't have too much experience with really early pregnancies. I had my period sometime in november (dont know when) I definatly know i haven't had one in December last thursday I tool 2 pregnancy test both were positive (yeah) talked to my doc got an US scheduled. Nothing visible. No sac in uterus or around where my ovaries are, no sac anywhere. I do however have a retro uterus and the US tech said it was hard to see, talked to my doc went to have HCG test today and another one friday wend home took another pregnancy test (positive) I'm so full of emotions I just had to get it out. No bleeding no pain, no period no baby (I'm bumbed) Any words of wisdom or encouragment

Any risk of ectopic pregnancy?

Thats what they are worried about. He said if this was an unwanted pregnancy (Its not) It would be totally appropriate to treat as if it is an ectopic. But since he knows it is a wanted pregancy he is also OK with waiting and watching until the location is known basically one of three things are happening

1. ectopic

2. I;m miscarrying and it hasn't "made itself known yet

3. It is in the uterus and they can't see it yet,

I'm obviusly hoping for the third option

Oh Mugwump.. for your sake I pray that it's option #3. Babies can "hide" in different spots, especially if you are retro. I hope that you receive news soon either way so that you can know what's happening. My thoughts are with you. Let's just hope for good news soon. :)

This happened with my first pregnancy 28 years ago and it was a blighted ovum. The difference is that my HCG was totally 00. I did have a positive pregnancy test, went to the doctor 3 wks later and he said everything was fine. A month later he said you haven't grown. Then ordered the US and blood work. I would think with a HCG level of 2200 and the fact that your uterus is retro that you could have a little stoleaway hiding there. Good luck, our prayers are with you all the way.

well my level was over 5000 (yeah) it should be in the right place based on levels doubling. I go for another ultrasound in a week or so. Wish me luck (I'm hopeful)

Well it is in the uterus now, I saw the little hearbeat today. I am 5 6/7 My due date is Sept 12th thank you for all your prayers and support it is much appreciated
