Ready for a day off

I think I'm ready for my day off tomorrow. When I got home from work tonight, I asked my husband "Are you ready to give me report on Emma?" (Emma is our 4 month old dtr) :lol2: He just looked at me like I was crazy.

You are crazy!

:lol2::lol2::lol2:

I'm glad i'm not the only one! I've asked my husband if our daughter has opened her bowels and if they were ok, roughly how much liquid intake did she have and other really weird questions that left him speechless. It feels like handover, doesn't it?:lol2:

Did you require a written or verbal report? *winks*

Please, tell me you did a walking round when you got home :lol2:

BTW, did your husband have his documentation done, or did he have to stay past his shift? :lol2:

How about hourly rounding at your house? I'm sure he "has the time." :bugeyes:

I think my husband needs to forget that I am a nurse. When he has a slight ache or cold, when I come home, he will give me an entire report about how he moved his bowels, when the pain started, when his nose started running, what position he was sitting in when the pain started, etc... because he wants to "be sure that I can accurately diagnose him". He even gets mad when I tell him the same as any other layperson..."go to the doctor". Sometimes, I think I never left work when he has a cold.

I sometimes have the urge to chart when I take a Tylenol or something. You know, keep the MAR up to date. :D
