Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2011

Hello everyone! I read through these sites all the time and finally decided to join! I've applied to NVCC as well as BHSN. It's finally Feb. 1 so let the waiting begin!

I've also been really curious about which classes they transferred in for the pre-requs. About a week ago I checked under the student records tab on mycommnet & looked under unofficial transcript & it had listed all the classes they used. The grades weren't on there, but I just looked on my old transcript & matched them up. They were also named a little differently, so it took a little guessing. Hey, any piece of info makes me happy these days. I know you guys can relate! :) Is it April yet??

Oh yeah, Allie11- at my info session they said 1st week of April (but that was a year ago) and someone who went to a more recent info session said they gave them a range of mid-late March. Man, I hope so!

The application process is more automated this year. It makes since that the process would be more efficient, and notifications would be earlier than in the past. (I hope)

Hi everyone :) does anyone have anthing on their application status on mycommnet that does not say "met" yet and you know it was sent in? It does not say "met" for my highschool transcripts and I know they were sent in. I understand it most likely takes some time for them to be prcessed and the system updated, but I am getting extremely nervous. I have tried calling the school but no one will return my calls.

Is GWCC your first choice? My status hasn't been updated either.

@Mixy: I brought my high school diploma to Three Rivers and it was updated in about 3 days. I've had alot of success with emailing them directly.

Has anyone else received a letter saying their transcripts can't be evaluated because they are not currently enrolled in courses?

Capital is my first choice. I sent one email in reply to the one we received saying to check our status's, and they woman who read it forwarded ot to capital. I will send another direct email. Thank you Ladies for the pointers!

I should have brought them right into them like you did... seems like that was the wise choice! Now my nerves are shot! I am worried my application will be disqualified.

It says that anything from outside the CT CCs isn't evaluated yet & everything outside from GW and Middlesex still isn't for me... It DOES say the date they received all the transcripts and from what schools, but nothing else. It's killing me! (And if it makes you feel any better, I sent every single thing in last April-September before the app even opened & it still isn't done) :) Try not to rip your hair out!

Does anyone know where to find stats on how many ppl usually apply to which schools and/or which ones are the most/least competitive? Stats of students admitted last year?? Just to drive myself a little crazier...
