Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2011

Published

Hello all,

It's almost that time of year again! I'm applying to the 2011 class which the application period begins this November 1st. We have two months to prepare our applications! Anyone else applying? I've seen the support the last year's class has with this sort of thread and I figured there should be one started for 2011 applicants. What is your TEAS score? GPA? A&P I grade? What were the averages that the 2010 applicants had and they are now starting the fall 2010 program?? Good luck!!!

has anyone heard how many applicants to trcc?

Does anyone know if you have to submit a high school diploma/transcripts if you already have a degree?

I was told no, but I gave them everything.

It didn't even cross my mind...I have no idea how I will find a copy by Tuesday if they tell me I need it...hopefully TRCC will say no!

Yes, although you carry a Degree, they want proof of high school completion. Look at your application status on-line it states whether it has been met. I sent mine in, because I was told to.

I did see that...that's what is causing me to get nervous! I am surprised you would need it with college degrees, as you have to graduate high school to get your Bachelors (and Masters!) degree. Looks like I might have made a big mistake. Here's to hoping that my high school in Maryland can pull out a HS transcript in a timely manner!

Allie, I only realized that it was a necessity after calling and speaking to several individuals and was told that if I looked on the application it asks for it. What I would do if I were you is to call ****** personally on Monday and ask her if you could have an extension. They may grant it based on your educational background. Do not worry she is very nice. I think you will be fine.

Sorry Allie, not sure who your first choice was. *** works for TRCC. If GW is First choice, difficult to get through to nursing department. I recommend emailing and calling both admissions and Nursing departments to cover yourself. ***** the Director of admissions GW is excellent. She will help.

Annie...ironically TRCC emailed me and said my B.S. would suffice AND I found my diploma hiding in my basement...so I'm going to take it up there anyway just to make sure I'm all set. I can't believe I didn't look at this earlier! I would have been so mad at myself if my application was incomplete because I didn't read it and follow directions...crisis averted!

Last day of people getting apps in! Let the waiting begin... Good luck to everyone!

Yay! Does anyone know when they think they will make decisions? I'll be interested to see what the GPA they calculate for me is....my recent grades are all pretty good, but some of my older pre-req's (English, Math, Computer class) are not as high. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!

I'm also curious about my calculated GPA. I hope the decisions are made late March.
