Hey all! Just wanted to start a thread for those who are applying for the RN new grad program at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego for the Summer 2019 cohort so we can update each other about what's going on! Good luck to everyone!

Yes and I noticed the website states new information about the program! It's listed as a year now and has the dates for each cohort posting. https://jobs.rchsd.org/residency-programs

For those that applied into NICU/PICU and got an interview and/or offer, can you share some of your experiences? Was your preceptorship in that department, how many hours, anything else that you feel really helped? TIA! ❤️

Hello just want to know if it is true that the residency pay is 25/hr? Just want to know ahead since my daycare cost an arm & a leg. TIA

It’s $26.50 during the new grad programs and then you’re paid as a clinical nurse 1 at the completion of residency. This is the collective bargaining agreement through 2020.

I thought maybe the "step 1" was during the program and you're bumped to "step 2" after the year when complete?...... but then I was confused with how a new graduate nurse (clin nurse 1) would make $43 (july 19) and a 'clinical nurse' with 5+ years experience would make less....

Step 1 is during the residency, after the 18 weeks you go to Step 2

Then at the end of the year, you jump up again
