"The candidate currently has test results that are on hold"

Published

I took the NCLEX Exam yesterday and few hours after my exam I logged on Pearson Vue hoping to get a good pop up as what others experienced. I did not rely on it 100% but the thing is it makes me feel better to also get a good pop up because I heard some stories that it works. But mine says "The candidate currently has test results that are on hold". Every now and then I keep checking it to see if there's changes, but so far it is still the same. Waiting is like a mental torture.

Do you guys have any idea about this? I need your ideas or opinions. Please. Thanks.

My friend also took the test and got the same pop up...she took the test on friday and every time she checks it says its on hold. I can only imagine how stressful it must be! Im wondering if this is the new thing because the company caught on to the pop up test?? I sure hope not since its such an amazing trick! If I hear from her about a new status ill let you know. Good luck!

Is this the new thing?

The pop up trick has been working for years. It doesn't do anything that could mess with the test.

The hold option is not a new thing. Usually the hold is because they are checking something out, for many it was becasue they answered the exam quickly

I had a friend get that message also. I'm not sure why she did get it...we're thinking its because she had trouble with her palm scans. But after checking the PVT several times, she finally got the good pop up about 8 hours later.

Thank you all for the feedbacks i really appreciate it. I dunno what to think right now Every now and then since i took the exam i kept checking it and the message didn't change. Due to the level of stress thinking about my pop-up I've dreamed about it twice. I am trying to feel better by thinking that there's always another chance if ever i failed. We all want and aimed to pass the exam but sometimes things does not work as we wanted it to be. First thing in the morning tomorrow i will check my pop-up again. If the message will be the same, i will definitely call the BON or Pearson Vue. Pass or Fail, i will let you guys know so i can help other future test takers who would encounter the same dilemna. God bless everyone!

. Thank you very much mmcnabb3.

No prob! I asked her today, still the same hold pop up....such a bummer when you are expecting to go home and check if you passed! I told her someone else had the same issue, she was relieved to know its not just her, hopefully you both find out good news soon!

Thank you silverdragon. I started my exam a lil late because they asked for my marriage license even if i showed them my id's so i called my husband and asked him to get our marriage certificate from home. It was fortunate that i came at the test center early because if i came in the exact time am sure i missed the exam. So for the future test takers, be at the test center early! Anything could happen. It's always good that you have extra time in fixing things or problems you encounter before your examination time. About my exam, i started at 10:20 and finished at 11:45 at approximately between 80-90 questions. I also used one note pad they provided in which they call "brain dumping". I wished i knew all about these things before i took the exam so i could have avoided the brain dumping thing if it was an issue.

As of today (monday), the status of my pop-up is the same "on hold". But there's a message also that says "Delivery Successful". How i wished this "pop-up fever" do not exist so everyone (including me of course) would be at peace or patiently waits only for the official result. Goodluck to us who are still hanging on the official result! .

There are so many reasons why an exam can be put on hold. If you test too quickly, palm or fingerprint scan problems, writing on the pad before the review is over, just to name a few.

I think you should call your board of nursing and see if they need additional documentation. Since they did ask for your marriage license, which I think is odd since your ID matched, maybe there is an issue with your name that you need to get cleared up.
