"GRAY SCREEN," does it mean you have failed????

Published

I took my second NCLEX today and it was horrible. So many medications, prioritizations and SATAs. I had about 215 questions (somewhere around there, I don't quite remember...too anxious to remember). Anyway, when the computer stopped, it turned 'GRAY." I heard that if it turns gray, that means you have "FAILED." Can anyone comfirm this??? I am pretty scared right now. I don't want to take again!!! :o

GUYS!!! The "Grad screen isn't true. I just found out that I PASSED!!!! Pearson wouldn't let me register so today (I 3 days later) I went on the California Boards of Registered Nursing and there it was, my NAME!!! Yes!!!

Hi there... I dont think so it matters with gray or blue color....it depends on your NCLEX performance on the computer. In my experience...the computer did not shutdown i was run out of time at 250 items the computer turns gray... i cried that time because they said ...thats a sign of failure but THANKS GOD after 2 days, my cousin texted me i PASSED the nClex with my name on www.rn.gov. Im so happy...just hold on and pray. trust in God and you will made it!!!

my computer froze and turn gray then it turn blue....neone had the same situation?

i took the nclex friday and find out this morning i passed!! :) after 75 questions, the screen turned gray, then turned blue. it obviously is not true because i def passed with a grey screen :)

I took the nclex Wednesday the 29th and my screen turned gray. I PASSED I sat up reading entry after entry on this site trying to figure out if I had passed or failed. I read about the pearsonvue trick and did it. This method is not offical, but it worked in my favor. (You go to the website and sign in to retake the test as if you know you failed. Before you get to the payment page, a warning pops up which prevents you from continuing on. I guess the company knows you passed and there is no reason to pay for a second test.) Honestly, there is not a true way to determine your success until you have your license number on screen through your local board of nursing website or a piece of paper in your hand showing you have passed!

I found out at 11:20 that Friday May 1st. I went to the MS Board of Nursing and entered my info and there it was my license number!

Wishing you the best!;)

I really don't think the color of the screen determines whether you pass or fail. I know some that says their screen was gray or blue, some passed and some failed. So its not a sure tell-tell. Just wait for results to be really sure.

When I went to the Pearson Vue testing center to take the NCLEX today, I asked the staff there about the "Gray Screen". He said all computer show the gray screen after the test. Mine did, too. ....I hope I passed.:redpinkhe

I guess That would the last detail I would remember once I take mine.
