Hey, I am studying, will take nclex in TWO DAYS!! My problem is I have been doing some of the choose-all-that apply questions and I really, really suck at them. Any tips??
I am also pretty weak in OB. That worries me.
THanks Seren
In the Choose-all-that-apply questions, do AT LEAST 2 RESPONSES HAVE TO BE CORRECT? i.e., your answer will definitely be wrong if you only chose ONE answer.....OR..is it that "One OR MORE answers could be right"??? Thanks.
No, it's a variable amount that can be correct. If you have 8 responses, it could be any correct answer between 1 and 8. And unless you select EVERY SINGLE CORRECT answer then it's wrong. You have to get it precisely right. If you select too many, it's wrong. If you don't select enough, it's wrong.
well our whole class was misinformed then!
Well, yes, it's been known to happen People here have been told all kinds of things by instructors that didn't pan out to be true.
But that's how it is. People who finish in 75 questions obviously got high level questions. But many don't get a single SAP. Some get lots. Some people who take 265 questions don't see them until late in the game.
Don't get hung up on it :)

WOW--because our school has given us these types of questions as preparation and stated that at least TWO must be correct...Thanks for clearing this up :)

I hate when NS instructors give wrong info...don't they know we HANG on every WORD for this stuff??
I had a Kaplan question that gave 8 options for SAP. And there was only one correct choice.
I had a few select all that apply on my nclex pn exam. You just have to take your time and first off eliminate the ones that you know you would not do, this will help you with the process of elimination. I did not have any OB, but one of the girls who took it at the time of one of my friends had all maternal child health. It is the luck of the draw. In my opinion the questions tested you on what you would do first and how would you take care of the patient more than it tested me on my knowledge (hope this makes sense).
