HI I m trying to go into the nursing program at TWU and when I spoke to the nursing counselor at TWU she told me I needed an A for BIOL 2401, but unfortunately I got a B. I was so close I got a 87 I don't know what to do does it really affect you that much into being admitted into TWU nursing program?

Write or call to ask? Everywhere is different. But I think when I showed my school how interested I was to apply and emailed and called and came in a lot they liked that and it helped my application.

You spoke to a counselor who might or might not have given you the right information. I personally hated working with counsellors because they weren't up to date on pre-requisites and take advantage of poor naive students by signing them up for extra 'required' classes that are totally unnecessary.
Check your school's website and see what is their written minimum grade for your class. I doubt it's an A... Most of the time the minimum grade for core classes are a B or a C+. Check the nursing handbook. It must be written in there... Always go by what is in writing and NOT word of mouth.
Unless your GPA was under a 3.0 and you needed that A to reach the minimum.
But honestly you should be doing all this investigating and calculating on your own. You need to know the minimums for all schools you want to apply to and know where YOU stand against the minimum and the competition.

Words mean nothing. Every day people hear reasons for not doing things. Just apply and see what happens. You ask if it "really affect you that much into being admitted"? Well what else would "affect" you getting into nursing school? Yes grades matter. You "don't know what to do". Well figure it out. My suggestion is to APPLY to the program. Or don't. It makes no difference to anyone but yourself. Always reasons not to do things.
