Quinnipiac accelerated BSN fall 2014 hopefuls

Anyone applying to Quinnipiac's Accelerated BSN program for Fall 2014? I wanted to see how everyone is doing with the application process and if there are any current accelerated BSN students that could talk about the admissions process, and how the program is going for them.

Did anyone receive a PIN number to check the status of their application yet?

It said when you filled out the application you shouldve been emailed the PIN number. However, I never received it. Instead I emailed admissions and asked them for it! If decisions are going to start being made in January, that would seriously help!!

Hello all.

I am working on my application right now, but am located on the other side of the country, so I haven't been able to attend any information sessions. I was wondering if anyone heard anything about the job placement rate for Quinnipiac ABSN grads? Quinnipiac seems like an amazing school and Ive heard the Nursing facilities are top-notch, but it IS expensive. And before spending $60K, it'd really be great if I heard that QU grads are consistently getting hired. From what the internet says, it sounds like lots of new grads are having a hard time finding a job, esp in Hospitals. Any information you've heard would be helpful!!! Thanks!

I can't remember the exact numbers but it sounded like all the recent graduates that actually applied for jobs and wanted them got them....a lot of people also went on to further their education and were not applying to the work field so that affects the exact stats.

My name is Christine. I'm also a Quinnipiac hopeful. I have been accepted into Stony Brook's ABSN for the upcoming cohort but Quinnipiac is my first choice. (My fiance lives near this school). Much more pressure when a wedding rest upon an admission decision :/ "May the odds ever be in our favor" :)

I was looking into Stony Brook as well but since you needed 3 sciences done, I missed the application deadline. Hopefully we will all get into Quinnipiac!!! And, hopefully we will hear in January instead of having to wait all the way till March!!!

Congrats Christine! I'm very envious, I also applied to Stony Brook, and waiting to here back! QU is my first choice, but Stony Brook is a close second, I have heard nothing but good things from Stony Brook and the cost is pretty unbeatable. I just want to find out from both schools like now! I hate waiting, especially with SB because i know I can find out any day, and QU I check the status of my application pretty much every day, I can't wait to find out!
