Anyone applying to Quinnipiac's Accelerated BSN program for Fall 2014? I wanted to see how everyone is doing with the application process and if there are any current accelerated BSN students that could talk about the admissions process, and how the program is going for them.
I look forward to hearing your responses!!
They actually changed orientation to June 2nd and 3rd this year (based on past student feedback) and it says we will start receiving textbook info then. So it sounds like we will have most of the summer to start looking at the books if you choose. Guess we will see what the math stuff is though! I definitely will enjoy summer before 365 days of non stop work!

Dreamer010,
I took A&P 3 years ago before I started the program and did not do any kind of review whatsoever before I started. It can be helpful to review to understand the concepts more thoroughly but it really isn't that necessary. I've been doing pretty well in all courses having not reviewed A&P before hand.
They wont give you your textbook list until orientation, which would probably be like 2 weeks before school starts. On top of that, they won't give out the syllabi for courses until the weekend before school starts so it's not very likely you'll have much time to "get ahead". In all honesty, you should enjoy your free time now because you will be doing a lot of it when school starts
But if you insist on being ambitious, I would purchase Calculating with Confidence by Morris. It will help prepare you for the summer math hw they'll assign in preparation for the math exam the first few weeks of school. The Morris book is often a better resource to learn the math hw than the ATI modules they make you do.
