Anyone applying to Quinnipiac's accelerated BSN program for Fall 2014? I wanted to see how everyone is doing with the application process and if there are any current accelerated BSN students that could talk about the admissions process, and how the program is going for them.

I look forward to hearing your responses!!

Hi all:

What is the tuition only cost at Quinnipiac? I seem to remember ~$65K from the open house, but did a by credit calculation and coming up with ~$55K. Not that this is a huge difference at that point:) Anybody know?

I believe it is going to be around 59,000 for the year for Fall 2014. They lowered it from last year.

Thanks, KLane. Way to lower:)

I am going crazy already waiting. I can't believe we have to wait till March!! I do not know what I am going to do!!!

Where else did everyone apply?

I'm applying all over the east coast: , UPenn, MGHIHP, etc. Also considering applying to a California school...how about everyone else?

The tuition seems outrageous, it's not even included with living expenses! How do people do it, or plan on living? The student loan debt would be crazy too, and not worth it unless you can find a job immediately.

I know I want to know now! I saw in previous threads that applicants found out admissions decision prior to March, so I am really hoping to find out at least by February, March is so far away! So far I have applied to The College of New Rochelle and Stony Brook, but QU is my first choice though. I plan to apply to one more school, just haven't decided which one yet!

I was considering Stony Brook too but I am still taking pre-reqs and they said 3 sciences had to be completed by the application so it didn't work out. But I also applied to Concordia, DeSales, and college of mount saint vincent...hopefully I wont have to start looking at January entry programs. Quinnipiac is definitely my first choice by far.

Concordia is my next choice to apply to, have you heard anything about the program?

Reading threads on here the students seem to like Concordia. I dont know if it is anything special since they still say there are teachers that you will get that you do not like but overall it seems like a positive feeling and that the majority of staff really do support you. I just do not like that they do not have all the technology and simulation labs that Quinnipiac has and its 15 months instead of 12. They said they will begin notifying people about interviews in January and it sounds like within 2 weeks of an interview you will hear of a decision.

I spoke to an admissions counselor today! She said that decisions will be out as early as January.
