Quinnipiac accelerated BSN fall 2014 hopefuls

Published

Anyone applying to Quinnipiac's Accelerated BSN program for Fall 2014? I wanted to see how everyone is doing with the application process and if there are any current accelerated BSN students that could talk about the admissions process, and how the program is going for them.

I look forward to hearing your responses!!

Same here! The only thing they keep saying is March but hopefully earlier. It seems that they thought they would be more efficient this year hence why they said as early as January, but clearly that did not happen. It is frustrating trying to plan out summer and everything else without knowing and to see if I need to go ahead with further steps for the other applications.

on the bright side march is less than a month away! But yea, I agree its hard to plan out anything waiting to hear back from schools. Hopefully it will be March the latest.

Has anyone applied for financial aid? I know the deadline is March 1st, but we most likely will not have admission decisions by then, so i'm curious if anyone applied without knowing their admissions decision?

Hi all, just found this group... I too am a Accelerated BSN applicant. Any ideas when we are supposed to hear back regarding admissions? I thought it was March 1st about but could be mistaken.

Dreamer010- you can apply for FAFSA without knowing admissions. Just add ALL schools you are applying to in the appropriate section. Then your report will be available to all of the schools if admitted. You just need to do your taxes before completing the FAFSA. Hope that helps...

Thanks for the info Sunshinee19, I appreciate your help!

On the website it says applicants will be notified after March 1st, so we should be hearing sometime next week and the following week! I'm so anxious, QU is my first choice by far, so lets hope for good news!! :)

Yes hopefully this is the last week of waiting! It is also my first choice and I've sort of been putting off as long as possible finishing up stuff for some other applications hoping I won't have to. It is so tempting to email them and just ask. I am sure they have a pretty good idea by now! Fingers crossed for everyone!

Well, let's all make a deal once we hear we will post it hear so we can get an idea of whether or not we are good to go. :) Good luck everyone.

Congrats to all who will get in! But how on earth will you pay for school, $60,000+, and living expenses? I would have applied to a program like this, but didn't strictly due to costs did not. I know this program is competitive so there is a good chance I might not have gotten in. Thanks for any info.

I have no idea how competitive QU is, I never got the chance to go to an information session, anyone know how many applicants they get per year? As for the price, I will be taking out loans (if I get accepted). QU has an excellent reputation that I really want to be part of. I know they say it doesn't matter what school you go to, but I feel it does. I have never heard a bad word about QU when I ask friends who know people that go there, and their nursing program is strong. The price is hard to swallow, but if it means a quality education, I think it's worth every penny

I have been updated to stating that a decision has been made and we should recieve a letter in the mail within 1 to 2 weeks! I wish they could just post it online!

Oh okay, thanks for the update!

I got the same message when I checked my status! So exciting but now the nerves are kicking in!!
