I just took my ohio nclex and had to do ALL 265 questions. Does this mean I failed? I have been a good student and passed my ATI the first time, anyone else with this?
can somebody answer me this question, i posted it in another forum but no response. i kind of understood what i was reading here, but why is it that some people get different amounts of questions. i seen one girl who had 110, then another had 200, then one had 75. why is that.
This is what I read in one of my NCLEX review books: the computer keeps popping out questions until it decides that you must know enough to be a competent new nurse, or until you run through all the questions. Now why some people stop at 75, 110, 195, 200 or 265, I don't know--my guess is that the computer is giving these people additional questions to give them a chance to show that they do know the material...and where they stop questioning is where they stop.
And like a prior poster said, there's probably some hapless soul that gets stuck with all 265 questions just for the heck of it.

Congrats on passing. As mentioned it doesn't matte how many you get you have the same % of passing as others. It just meant the further you go passed 75 the computer is still making a decision
