I see lots of posts about passing or failing with 75 questions, just curious what the stats are. I would like to think that nursing school prepares us enough that those who get 75 are mostly passing?
I think the review courses are a complete waste of money. New grads just spent the last 2-4 years of their lives prepping for NCLEX. I know people who used review courses and the pass rate didn't seem any better than those of us who did without it. I passed mine in 75 questions without a course and no I wasn't a straight A student... I had a C average.
Took the NCLEX today. I went onto the Pearson Vue site. Signed in then clicked on register. When I click NCLEX-RN, nothing happens - it won't take me to the credit card page. Is this the "PVC trick" or am I missing something?
Didn't feel that I passed. Lots of questions I was clueless on.
I don't think the "trick" is valid. You can't retake the exam for six weeks if you don't pass, so it isn't going to let you register anyway. You also already used your ATT when you registered the first time so it isn't going to be valid for a second time.
You can probably log onto your board of nursing and check your license status within the next day or so.
Hey yall! New to the site but we all in the same boat....I took the NCLEX once, 75 questions and failed...just recently took it yesterday and I have the same gut feeling...i know i failed...I had 2 math questions, lots of priority/delegation, and pharm...this was most of my test or what i can remember...oh and at least 4 SATA, ugh!!!....wont even count any of those
PoetGirl.. have you checked your states Board of Nursing website to see if you have an active or pending licence?? That's how I found out so quickly. Its public information in NH at least. You just put in a persons name to see if they are licensed. They usually get them up there before pearson vue gets back to you on your results.
Wondering what it means when your name just disappears from the BON website?!?!?! Does that mean I failed??? No results from pearson yet!!!
I took mine yesterday. I got 75 questions like everyone here. Got 12 select all that apply, got some pharm questions of course and even on a drug or 2 i never heard of. I knew I kinda messed up on some of those. Got a bunch of priority. I have a gut feeling i got the last few string of questions right. I am almost positive I answered the last question correctly. This is my 3rd time taking the test and Im super nervous. Im almost tempted to do the pearsonvue trick but I'll wait and do it on the state's BON site. Sigh.......
