I see lots of posts about passing or failing with 75 questions, just curious what the stats are. I would like to think that nursing school prepares us enough that those who get 75 are mostly passing?

BusyMe, I knew you would pass I am sooooo happy for you. Sorry for the late reply.

Aye125..thank you so much. Honestly, I really didn't know if I would. Like I said, my mind just went blank. In nursing school, one of the things that the head of nursing and my instructors stressed CONSTANTLY was going by my instincts....said that I should always trust my gut. Get the knowledge and know your stuff, do NOT second guess and , always, ALWAYS trust those instincts. Well, honestly, I had no other choice but to trust my instincts. LOL Oh I am so grateful and relieved to have this over with. I had so many things to get out of the way, a new grandbaby, a son graduating, and far, far more things than I care to mention happening in my life. I shouldn't have put off the test for nearly 2 years, but with so many things going on I had to "trust my instincts" and take it when I felt that things were finally in the right place in my life....settled enough to where I could really zone out on some serious studying without too many distractions. Ugh...I gotta tell you, I was wondering if I'd waited to long, when I finally sat down at that computer in the testing room. LOL Again, thank you so much for your congratulations. Are you working yet?

I can say I am truly happy for you and I know you must be happy as well as your family. Congratulations on the new grandbaby and your son graduating, that's really exciting. The good part for you is that only you can know when you are truly ready for something. You felt that this time was right and it was because you passed and now it is all behind you and you can move forward. No, unfortunately I am not working yet but I am applying to various hospitals in my area. What about you?

aye..I'm not working at the moment, no. I did, however just get a nagging (lol) phone call from a friend of mine again last night asking me when I was going to come up and fill out an application. I basically have a job, I just need to get the application filled out. It's tough though, I've got a few little projects I have to get done around here first though....then I'll doit, IF she doesn't bring the application to me. What I want to do eventually is in home hospice. There is a real need for in-home-care in our area and I'm just sure that's where I'm going to end up. I'm just positive that you're going to get a job soon. If you're anywhere as kind and caring as you are on here, you will definitely find a perfect place for you and you'll be so very appreciated.

I remember being grateful there was a window with a pretty tree in front of my computer to stare at when I had no idea what an answer was. That was the only window in the little room. They gave us ear plugs to block noise, so I actually listened to my tachycardia during the test. With lots of anxiety, and 45 minutes later, I left after 75 questions. I was so nervous I had failed I couldn't do anything that day because I was so out of focus. Fortunately though, I passed!

I just took the exam this morning I have 8 SATA, 3 calculations, 13 priority gosh i have no idea what was the questions and i don't really know if i got it right. Please help me pray:(

I took this test knowing that I aced it. It shut off at 75 questions and I just found out today that I officially passed. I am now a NY State RN, BSN. YAY!!!!!

I took the NCLEX this morning at 8: 00 . had 75 questions. I think the test was really hard. started with easy ones then it got harder and harder.

I had more than 7 select all that apply :(

I don't know what to think right now...

Question: if you pass, how long does it usually take for your license to show on the website???

hi, do you live here in U.S? Where?

Specializes in Camp/LTC/School/Hospital.

Took the FL RN boards on 4/1, had 75 questions still waiting on results. When I took the PN exam in 96 I had 85 questions and passed. Hoping for the best.

I passe NCLEX with 75 q's. Took it on the 29th of March. I only had about 6 SATA, no math, so afterward I thought I must have failed b/c it didn't seem that hard. However, I found out I passed much to my surprise! YAY!

I'm almost positive you passed. I took mine March 16, 2010 and thought I failed with flying colors. I had 75 questions and thought the test was extremely hard. The harder the questions are more likely you are passing. The computer is checking you knowledge by giving you hard questions. My name appeared on the BON site two days after I took the exam (March 18, 2010). Good luck and keep me posted.

I wish you luck. How do you feel the exam was, easy or hard? People more likely pass when the computer shut off at 75 than they do fail. Although some people do. Good luck and keep me posted.
