  1. I have been working in juvenile corrections for almost 3 years. I like it better than the prison because I feel like I can make a difference in a young persons life, maybe help them make some changes in their lifes. My program is a behavior modification program they are here for 6/9 months, you can see many grow into fine young men, others we just can't save.
  2. 75 questions and passed, just found out that I passed!
  3. It worked for me! Just found out I passed! Thanks for your support!
  4. Some of the questions were a little hard, some were easy. I had no math! Was happy about that, and about 7 choose all that apply, I hate them, hopefully I can find out soon if I passed. Easter weekend I sure the holiday will hold everything up.
  5. I too have many stories of the worst that can happen. the worst that happened for me was at a Special Needs camp, on a adult session- A man had a heart attack and I had to due CPR forever until the volunteer rescue squard came. He lived, so it does have a happy ending. But always expect the unexpected!
  6. I drive 49 miles one way to work. In the FL Everglades- at a boys Juvenile Detention Center, I like my job and the ride is a nice one, except for in the rain.. But I like my job- so I make the drive:redbeathe
  7. Took the FL RN boards on 4/1, had 75 questions still waiting on results. When I took the PN exam in 96 I had 85 questions and passed. Hoping for the best.
  8. Took the RN test on 4/1- Went to all-nurses for a little support, and found out about the PVT, I got the good message, so I'm hoping for the best! Thanks for the support Allnurses users! And Good luck to all!
  9. I could not have said it better!
  10. I agree that maybe community health nursing or teaching may be a good change for you. Most of all take care of yourself! Do what you need to do for yourself not for anyone else.School nursing is stressful, and I agree its mainly the teachers and parents not the kids.
  11. I was a LPN with a lot of experience for 13 years and I am going through the same thing. I just have to "Fake it to make it" and put up with all of the stuff they are putting me through. I will be done this RN program in December Thank God1
  12. A good school nurse is a great thing, keep up the good work!
  13. Kiz, I just went to find your post to see about the loss of your "baby" I can totallly say that I too am a animal lover and the loss of a pet is terrible. Take care of yourself, thank you for your wonderful Christmas message.
  14. LOL. I just read the original letter again. I mistook the line " meth and pot" for "meth in a pot" I'm kinda of stupid when it comes to illegal drugs!
  15. The meth lab at camp bothers me a lot. Those campers, some of them may be pre-teen age look up to the counselors, they don't need that kind of example. It probably is some kind of cover up! They just hope if they ignore you, you will forget about everything. My experience with many camps I worked at is that Camp is a DIRTY place. Floors and bathrooms, and other common areas are dirty. That is just part of camp. However, there should be cleaning items for the health lodge. The drug problem would be the biggest concern. As Psalm stated, send the next letter cerified, then if no response- you need to make a decision on if you should report it, and to what agency.
