That so good to hear. I honestly think I failed, because I had a variety of peds to newborns, to psych and maternity, lots of infection control, only 11 SATA's and the rest were priority. Many of them were hard because there were 2 possibilities (like always!:banghead:)......but we will see. I was there to the 265! Crazy. So, is it really auotmatic that someone will write to 265? Just randomly? I hear so many myths. I just want the pass next to my name!

:paw::paw::paw:

Hey congrats again to you!

Thanks!

Thats what they were told, that 1 in 4 gets 265. Randomly. My 265 was like that, peds, OB, psych, maternity, lots of infection control, and tons of prioritizing. And from what my friends who have taken it said, they got about they same.

hey guys there is hope. i signed on to this forum tuesday after being deflated from taking the test. all my peers got 75 so i felt confident i to would get 75. WRONG!!! i got 265 and thought life was over. well yesterday at work there was my nurse manager outside my patients door saying my name was on mi.gov with a liscense number......I PASSED!!!!!! so plz nobody think there is no hope cuz thats what i thought for two days, was miserable....and all for nothing!

really? could it be true?? that 1 in 4 may get all the 265 questions??

This is not true. Statistically, it may result in 1 out of 4. The computer shuts off after determining definitively that you passed or failed at the specific question with 75 being the minimum. If you run out of time, the last 60 questions will be evaluated to see if they were all above passing or failing. Getting the very last question right or wrong is not indicative either way, it's the quality and results of the last 60 questions. This is why the minimum is 75 because 15 do not count and the 60 were enough to determine a result.

I just took my NCLEX today at 8AM and I felt SOOOOO discouraged. 265 questions. I feel like somebody hit me in the face with a rock! What a test of endurance! Two of my friends who passed made it at 75....wow

It was a horrible experience. I was the last nursing student out of there, and I felt horrible, already plotting my reschedule. I wasn't so impatient during the test, and I almost teared up once, but didn't spill over. I did however, start crying when I got out to the car. I hadn't felt so dumb in a looooong time...Especially when I felt prepared going in. I studied, I passed nursing school Magna Cum Laude (university), and I was diligent....

Then I started getting text messages from many of my friends telling me that they were all praying for me..."I was up praying for you at 2 in the morning!" or "I prayed for you at 8AM!"..people were calling my mom asking her if I was in my exam and telling her that they were praying for me.

So I walked out of there feeling like I failed but who knows?

And you all have been so encouraging. Thank you. Pass or fail, I will update you all in a couple of days (hopefully pass will be the news you receive). I am also praying for you, fellow nursing grads...we'll make it
