265! I'm going to lose my mind any minute! anyone get that same amount?

:uhoh21:

I just finished my test this afternoon, and now I belong to the "I took 265 questions" club! I found this website due to trying to go online and see what the possibilities are that I could still pass with taking 265. I love reading all your postings!

I made it through nursing school with all A's and B's and would you know there was only 2 handfuls of questions today I could answer with actual retained knowledge I could back my answer up with. I just kept thinking during the test when is this going to be over!?!?!

Now I sit and wait.......along with sudden outbursts of crying episodes because I am so fustrated! In the back of my mind I keep thinking I didn't pass. But I'm hoping (along with reading some of your responses) that I could actually still pass.

I was reading some responses and one response was they DON'T give random people all the questions. Well unless the girl was just trying to make me feel better at the testing site, she said she always has one person ouot of the bunch get the total 265 even if they were passing?!?!

hmmm.... interesting because i was the last person out of the testing center and everybody else was gone. there maybe some truth to this myth..ahhh the NCLEX conspiracy... anyhoo... what ur feeling is completely normal. i was in ur shoes exactly 2 days ago.. the dreaded 265q! oh the torture! i can't tell u to calm down, relax, have fun... cus it aint gonna happen... so feel free to vent vent vent. u r completely welcome to. :)

missteewee!!

think positive.. like we all try to do here in this forum.. i took mine last june 17.. im waiting for my result now. i took california nclex and they dont offer quickresults like in other states wherein they could have a quickresult after 2 days...

did u take california nclex too??

let us all pray for each other.. as they all say, miracles do happen with prayers.. especially with group prayers! hehehe... hay lets breathe!! goodluck to all of us.. =)

is that possible?? that even if they are really pasing and answering all the questions right, they still have to receive all the 265 items???

could there be possibility? or just another myth??

I am still trying to think possible. I swear laying in bed I could tell you at least 20 questions or so that I remember the question and know that whatever answer I picked it was simply a guess with no thought to it at all cause it was completely something I never heard about! Its hard cause I'm trying not to get my hopes up but there are brief periods I do think I could have passed. Unfortunately that feeling goes away quickly! Good luck to everyone. If it makes anyone feel better, you really don't have to worry much. After all I am worrying so much it covers everyone else!

what I don't understand is.....if i was doing so terrible why did they keep having me take questions. right now the only thing I can come up with is by taking all the questions when I get that paper that says where I need work, by taking all the questions, they can tell me as accurate as possible where I am weak. make sense??? if i had only taken 75 and it shut off when they give me the print off of what i need to continue to study it won't really be as accurate if i had taken all possible questions. anyone else got any reasoning to the torture?

OMG

Took NCLEX today it was 4 hours long . I got to 76 I was waiting for that darm computer to shut down:chuckle, but of course it didnt:no:, just my luck. SO now the waiting game begins. But you know what is weird I still think I passed even after 265 questions. Am I Crazy to think that???? On of my fellow students did not pass and he also had the full 265. Maybe (hopefully I will have a different resut). I really do not want to study for the next 45 days:scrying:.

well i took and failed with 265......... but i could be the exception. can anyone give me advice on what i should review. I did kaplan last time.

Try this website for FACTS-it has great one line facts that are really informative. Write a few of the ones you really want to remember or need to remember on large index cards and take them with U whereever you go.

Good Luck:up:

I took 265 and passed. I didn't take Kaplan, but a friend who did said they told them that 1 in 4 automatically gets all 265 questions, whether or not it could have been determined if they passed or failed on less.

So for those who get 265, keep the faith- it doesn't automatically mean you failed. I'm proof!

That so good to hear. I honestly think I failed, because I had a variety of peds to newborns, to psych and maternity, lots of infection control, only 11 SATA's and the rest were priority. Many of them were hard because there were 2 possibilities (like always!:banghead:)......but we will see. I was there to the 265! Crazy. So, is it really auotmatic that someone will write to 265? Just randomly? I hear so many myths. I just want the pass next to my name!

Hey congrats again to you!

Just wanted to add my 2 cents on some test takers randomly getting all 265...

A member of my nursing school faculty was actually a question writer for the 2008 NCLEX and she told us specifically that no one will "randomly" have 265 questions... That the # of questions you get is directly related to your individualized answers...

I admire all of you who lasted to 265, what a feat! I posted in another thread that God only gave me what I could handle and that was 75. Congrats to all the new RNs of 2008 and praying for those of you patiently waiting. :loveya:
