101 Questions - My Nclex experience....

was not a good one, ugh. My stomach dropped when I went past 75. I think I was really upset by that because I passed my LPN boards with the minimum 85. Then I kept watching the numbers go up and just got more depressed with each one.

I did have alot of priority questions, who would you see first, what symptom would you have the patient call the MD for immediately?, etc.. well, at least for the first 75. The questions seemed different after 75. I had to guess on quite a few. I had 2 alternate questions that were pick all that apply (those aren't my strong point), no math and the rest multiple choice.

I looked up a couple that I could remember and actually can say I was right and that seems like a bad sign to me, just the opposite happened with my LPN board experience. I did have ones that left me wondering what the heck is this??

No, I don't feel confident. Yes, the test makes me feel stupid that's for sure. I hope I passed but am not getting my hopes up on this one. Just thought I'd share my experience. :)

It will be really depressing to fail at 101, that means that even early on I wasn't even reaching the minimum difficulty level as that leaves 164 questions. Ugh.

Good Luck to other testers today.

Kelly, I'm sure you did better than expected. I too am a Lpn.I plan to battle the beast in Aug.

I bet you did great! Try not to worry too much abou the number of question you had to answer, it truely means nothings. Several people in my class passed with strange #'s. Two passed with 265, others passed with 92, 97, 101, and 175 so just try to relax and have faith it's finally over;) .

I know it's hard, I went through the same thing this past weekend. Found out on Sunday I passed. Save those tears and when you find out you passed you'll have a huge HAPPY cry. :nuke: Try saoking it a hot bath with a glass of your favorite drink or watch a funny movie. Big Momma's House 2 is Hilarious I laughed the entire movie:lol2: .

Good luck and I'll be praying for you:icon_hug:

Thanks and good luck to you too! I am just feeling like I worked so hard to graduate with honors and then this.... It's like I knew nothing. *sigh

I'm already trying to figure out a study schedule so I can retest in 45 days. lol

Hang in there! Let us know how it turns out.

Why does Pearson have to send a survey via email the day after you test? I don't want to see that now. lol

I still don't feel any better today, in fact, I feel worse today, ugh.

I felt the same way you did about your nclex- i took my nclex-lpn last summer and passed with 85 questions- however- monday I took the nclex rn and had somewhere between 120-150 questions- i remember feeling very disappointed that my test didnt shut off at 75- I think people focus on that number too much- there are a lot who get 75 questions- and there are lot who get 265 and somewhere in between- it doesn't matter- you cant predict a pass/fail based on the number of ?'s- I passed at an "unusual" number! you can too! best of luck to you!!

What types of questions did you get? My first 75 had alot of priority(first, immediately etc), not much delegation ( I think one) and then after 75 they seemed different, and I felt like I ended up guessing on too many. I think I was trying to analyze the questions after #75 too. I'm good at pharmacology and got NO math. figures lol

This is such an awful feeling. I said I wouldn't let it get to me because I can retest in 45 days but it has gotten to me.

hi i just wanna ask if your test have lots of select all that apply. because my computer shut-off at around 85-88 and i didn't get any select all that apply. may are drugs and all are prioritization..
