The 4 classes you listed should be do-able in one semester... Is that what you were asking? They are so varied, I can't say that one is harder than another - just different.

IMO, the intro ot philosophy would be the hardest because of the general nature of the class - all depends on the school, prof., etc.

The others are critical to be in class, stay on top of workload -

Good luck.

I just finished up Intro to Phil and my professor taught it like a 3rd year course. Philosophy is one of those classes where you are really going to love it or hate it. If you're motivated, you'll do fine!!!!! good luck!!!!!! :)

Chemistry is another class that you are either going to love or hate as well. I really hated it, but I worked by butt off to get a good grade in it. I just hated the fact that there were so many "rules" to be followed, but yet they could be broken!!

One of my general rules was only schedule one science per semester. Other than that other things should be fine.

It's difficult to say what courses are "harder"; so much of what you're going to be studying ties in with other things from other classes, so you'll be exposed to certain concepts more frequently than others. Too, a lot depends on your aptitude for certain things. People who like to read generally do well in English, math buffs tend to find Chemistry more manageable than other courses, etc. I'm sure you get the idea. Do you have an advisor who's familiar with your study style and requirements? Perhaps that person could help guide you with your course offerings.

I had the chance to take Chemistry this summer term, and will start nursing and A&P in a couple of weeks. I did that so I didn't have two sciences in the same term (which was suggested by a previous poster); turns out, that was an excellent idea. Chemistry is now done and gone, and I won't have that to distract from my other studies.

Good luck!

Tessa,

I'm with DON on this. We don't know you (but we're sure you're a nice person :)), and can't even begin to know your strengths and weaknesses. If it was me, I'd be concerned about 2 math oriented classes in the same semester (stats and chem). However, I took stats for healthcare and it really wasnt so bad. We had a teacher who understood that we weren't math majors, that we were taking the class "because we had to" so she understood us. We got what we needed from the class, and not just the grade.

Nutrition shouldn't be too bad. It's one of those common sense classes.

Philosophy, well, I don't know. I haven't seen your syllabus so I don't know what YOUR class is going to entail. It may be a lot of papers though, one can never tell.

Chemistry, it goes without saying that if you aren't a math/science person, this might give you a little trouble. But if you are OK with math and enjoy the science part (I always did), it shouldn't be any problems if you work your back end off.

I can't say whether or not you will have any trouble. But I can see that you haven't overloaded yourself with sciences, and that you are FT without going overboard (+15 hours). I hate to say this, but if the going to too tough, you can drop classes, but I wouldn't want to do that.

Just be ready to work, and you should be fine.

Have a good semester!

I agree with this post, it depends on what your strenghts and weaknesses are, for me it was math therefore I struggles in Chemistry. To others it was memorizing parts in anatomy. But you still have to make it through all of them. Best wishes to you. :)

thanks guys for replying, ive done well so far in my science classes, my problem is im not the best at math so im going to take those classes first, but in the state of texas science classes are only good for 5 years so im trying to finish my pre req. as soon as possible. that way if i get rejected the first attempt into nursing school i still have time to apply the second time... its a catch 22.... takes 4 years to finish all classes but may take a year to get into nursing school.....
