  1. The one I got from the school bookstore is called: Test of essential academic skills pre-test study manual. There is a website printed on the back of the book which is http://www.atitesting.com. I haven't taken the test yet so I can't tell you much more than that. Good Luck!
  2. :yeahthat: it's not fair to speak on behalf of other people, age doesn't matter when it comes to commitment.
  3. How about the FBI? I was looking on their website the other day and a BSN in nursing was listed as a degree they are looking for. Don't know much more than that.
  4. If that's what you want, I say go for it! There are alot of opportunities out there for financial aid and scholarships. Just try to keep your debt down to a minimum. Credit card companies are notorious for sending credit cards to new college students. If you keep out of debt early on, it will be easier to obtain school loans when you really need to borrow. Maintain a positive attitude and stay motivated. Your family will eventually see how happy nursing makes you.
  5. I have lived in fort worth 22 years and have yet to see a snake that wasn't at a lake at night. Southwest Fort Worth has always been fairly nice. Good Luck!
  6. https://allnurses.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117557&highlight=bath There was a discussion about this not too long ago. I would be very uncomfortable too. It's just way too personal.
  7. I agree with the others in starting out slow. I started school when my daughter was 6 months. She's a year old now. When they are this young, their schedules are always changing and something new is always happening. Just when I think we're getting into a routine, she gets a growth spurt or she learns something new and wants to stay up all night. Just stay flexible and don't overwhelm yourself early on. I agree with the poster above me. Children do grow up fast. Enjoy your family and good luck with school!
  8. That's a great idea! Thanks
  9. Exactly, it's just another way they can take our money! Like buying the book back for $7 and then reselling it for $80!!!!!
  10. Recently I called my college bookstore to get an idea of how much my books will cost. They gave me the titles of the books but would not give me the ISBN. Also, when I went in to get my psych book they told me it wasn't in yet and it could take up to the first day of class to get it. When I asked for the ISBN, they wouldn't give it to me. Just how crazy is that? I was just wondering if this is the norm or do all colleges do this?
  11. Good luck! :balloons:
  12. I'm taking 13 including A&P I with lab.
  13. Thanks! This was exactly the type of info I was looking for! :balloons:
  14. As far as the admission process goes, I was wondering if a majority of students accepted to TCC's nursing program actually have all four science courses completed BEFORE submitting their application? Any advice regarding TCC's nursing program would be greatly appreciated!
