Hi to everyone! Hi suzanne! I've sent my CVS and NY Form 1 already this month. So that means, i'll be waiting for at least 4 months or more for the approval from NY BON. Am currently reading Saunder's Comprehensive Rview (as per your advice), though mine is a 2nd edition. So far so good am getting above 75% on the practice questions. I plan to pm u my email add so i can get your NCLEX study/review guide once I'm finished with the book.... Anyway, i understand i need approval from NY BON before i register at pearson vue, and the ATT alone will be valid for 90 days....my question is, is there a time validity or expiration date once i get approval from NY BON before registering at Pearsonvue? meaning, what if i get approval already from the NY BON and i dont immediately register at pearsonvue, will my eligibilty expire? (until when is my eligibility valid?) Should i register at pearson vue right away upon receiving my eligibility? What if i got my eligibility but im not yet ready to take the NCLEX, can i delay my registration (for a few months until i know am ready to sit for NCLEX)?
hope anyone can answer me... apprec it much! thanks
another question suzanne.... while waiting for my NY BON eligibility, i plan to take the English exam. Which will you recommend? The TOEFL/TSE series or the IELTS?

If you are Filipino, take the IELTS series, much better chance of you passing with that. The speaking section actually uses a human examiner and you do not need to respond to a machine which makes everyone nervous.
ok thanks jon i'll do the ielts. by the way, when did u file ur cvs?
hi suzanne! thanks for the reply. however, can u take a look again at my first post here. i think my initial inquiry remains unanswered (regarding NY BON approval)... thanks!
It usually takes about four months to get approval from NY to be able to sit for the exam. Even when you get that, you do not have to register with Pearson-Vue right away. You have plenty of time to prepare.
The approval from NY to sit for the exam has been good for one year in the past, not sure if it has remained the same, so you have plenty of time to prepare.
hi amber......CVS received my application and payment last October 11,2005....they received my license and transcripts mid december......until now both are still under review
ok thanks suzanne! uve been great help!
i see jon. so u've been waiting for 5 months already. hope u get ur approval soon! anyway, thanks!

Only the documents to be notarized are needed but the ones who will notarize it will usually ask for photocoies of it (3 copies). They will be keeping a copy of their own.
