a question regarding NY approval

Hi to everyone! Hi suzanne! I've sent my CVS and NY Form 1 already this month. So that means, i'll be waiting for at least 4 months or more for the approval from NY BON. Am currently reading Saunder's Comprehensive Rview (as per your advice), though mine is a 2nd edition. So far so good am getting above 75% on the practice questions. I plan to pm u my email add so i can get your NCLEX study/review guide once I'm finished with the book.... Anyway, i understand i need approval from NY BON before i register at pearson vue, and the ATT alone will be valid for 90 days....my question is, is there a time validity or expiration date once i get approval from NY BON before registering at Pearsonvue? meaning, what if i get approval already from the NY BON and i dont immediately register at pearsonvue, will my eligibilty expire? (until when is my eligibility valid?) Should i register at pearson vue right away upon receiving my eligibility? What if i got my eligibility but im not yet ready to take the NCLEX, can i delay my registration (for a few months until i know am ready to sit for NCLEX)?

hope anyone can answer me... apprec it much! thanks

i sent my high school diploma for sure. hehehe

there's no harm in sending. right?

to be sure.

i have received from the NY BON a NCLEX examination registration form.

do i have to wait for an eligibility letter from NY BON and send this form??

thanks alot!

hi!

i just send my CVS application this month, just want ask if submitting your high school diploma is one of their requirement? did you send them a copy?

i'm getting a bit confuse because as i've been reading some of the post here, secondary diploma is one of the requirement for CVS....I thought it is only required for those who are applying for LPN...:uhoh3:

thanks for your info!

I am confused too. If high school diploma is not in English, do I need a with literal English translations, including a Certificate of Accuracy (if not

in English)?

My suggestion to you is to wait for your eligibility from NY BON before registering in Pearsonvue.

My suggestion to you is to wait for your eligibility from NY BON before registering in Pearsonvue. You don't know when your CVS will be submitted to NY BON from CGFNS. I submitted my applications to NY BON and CVS last March 2006. After two weeks, I received the NCLEX Pearsonvue Registration forms fr NY BON. In my excitement, I immediately registered on-line. Months passed but still no CVS submitted to NY BON. September 2006 I decided to send another NCLEX application, this time to Vermont BON. I constantly emailed VT BON that my Pearsonvue registration will soon expire March of 2007. ATT was released to me last December 2006 from the VT BON. I paid Pearsonvue $50 more for changing my BON. Yes, I'm soon going to take my NCLEX this February. And my CVS status? Still, "ready for submission":lol2: !!!

hello! just want to share... after 10 months of waiting and after several calls to NY BON, i finally got my eligibility last january 22. i applied last march 2006. that's 10 months in waiting! i am yet to register at pearson vue... btw, i also took IELTS while waiting for my eligibility and thank goodness. i passed. all i have to do right now is to review and take nclex...

anyway, goodluck to all those who are applying for NY BON. all the best!!!

hi!

as per requirement and instruction of cgfns, you need a literal englisg translation and including a cert. of accuracy, however, i have no idea on how to get one. i suggest you ask your school on how they can provide you with these kind of request.

good luck on your application! :nuke:

i just get confused??do cvs required to send HS diploma?coz i've send my application to CVS last aug and i didnt send my diploma...

if you are applying for a RN, you don't need to send your high school diploma. (that's how i understand it in their website) but you need to send your bachelor of nursing degree diploma with your application. :nuke:
