Question for MCC nursing students

Published

I was wondering if you would mind posting what your gpa and hesi score was for last year and what number you ranked. This might help put my mind to ease until April.

Thanx

I think my combined score is a 98. I hope I figured it right.

Thanks for the heads up on checking the assessment in Web Advisor! Mine is there! Yay!

Just waiting for this stupid letter. Third try is a charm, right??

how did you figure your combined score?

I figured it out from another thread.... half the hesi score + your gpa (multiplied and divided in some way... LOL) I will see if I can find it!

(HESI pts.= HESI/100 = X/50) (GPA pts= X/50 = GPA/4) HESI + GPA = ?/100 packet pts

This was the quote from another post I used to figure mine. I modified it to help you know where to put in your scores, just set up the ratio. I have a 96 and a 4.0.

48 for Hesi, 50 for my GPA. = 98 as long as I am right about what they will take.

Does Macomb figure in the credits that you have done as well?

I applied at SC4 for this fall, and they take your GPA (25%) , your total prenursing course credits (25%) and HESI (50%).

I got a letter telling me that my application isn't complete because my Baker transcript hasn't been sent over yet. I put in a request on Jan 27, and then faxed another one on Feb 4. I called today and all I get is voice mails. ***?! All I EVER get is voice mails!

Tomorrow I am going to Baker and DEMAND that my transcript gets mailed over there, and that I will not leave until I see it in the envelope and stamped. This is f'ing ridiculous. If I'm gonna be rejected, I want to be rejected because I didn't do well enough - not because Baker can't get their damn act together :angryfire

GPA x 25/2

Hesi/2

GPA 4.0 x 25/2 = 50

Hesi 96/2 = 48

50+48 = 98 :D

When was the MCC letter dated? I would call MCC tomorrow and see if it came in. Baker told me 2 weeks processing time, but it should be in way before the deadline since you requested it on Jan 27. Did you get a reciept from Baker that you requested the transcript? Maybe worse case you could take it to MCC and they will extend it for you since it is not your fault.

I called over to Baker and the guy processed and shipped it out on the 4th. I called MCC this morning to see if they got it, but I probably called too early. I will call tomorrow and if it's still not there, I will find out what time their mail comes and call back then.

Anger subsiding... for now :smokin:

Lol...I understand being upset about it, after all this is your future we are talking about. When ever I ask for transcripts at Baker they act like it is a horrible thing to send them some other place, I can see it in their face.

Hi Toxic Shock,

I am so surprised by this, when I went into baker to have my transcripts sent over to MCC, I paid the 2 bucks and they transferred over the computer immediately. I did this in Nov. They were posted in my MCC stuff within 2 days. Yes they did get ***** with me for transferring them, but tough doo doo!

Thanks for the conversion on how to figure out points....I don't know if mine are good enough, but I got it figured out....LOL I only have 92 points....No where near gemberly!!! LOL Congrats Gemberly!
