The PVT works! I've noticed that it is not a good indicator of if you failed (even if they took your money so don't lose hope if you get the "bad popup"), but it is a PERFECT indicator of if you passed. So, if you get the "good pop-up" then YOU PASSED!
For new users of the "Pearson Vue Theory", I just want to re-emphasize some things so that you are not misled by people who never actually tried it.
1. Use a valid card with insufficient funds - you will not risk any money whatsoever
2. Attempting this theory will NOT endanger your lives or lower your chances of survival. You can do this trick and LIVE in the same way as others who dont do this trick and live.

Your life will also go on if you DON'T do it & wait. Just like everyone prior to the invention of computers & who had to wait weeks to get an answer. Two days is not an eternity.
Yeah we also used to wash clothes a long time ago in a bucket and not with the modern convenience of a washing machine. Things change in society. Simply put this is a method that may not be proven and as I mentioned earlier, this post is really to post your experiences with the trick. All of my experiences have been positive with those I have encountered. If the trick is accurate, which it has been, then no one is risking losing 200 dollars. If you fail, you are going to need to pay that 200 dollars anyway to retake the test. I also feel like if pearson vue took my money on a failure of this trick that I could contact them and get it back. It is just one of those things people do and I just don't get why people who are irrelevant to this experience keep posting negative things. This thread is to discuss experiences with the matter not people saying "its stupid". Those thoughts are not really constructive to the conversation in showcasing if the PVT is effective or not.

This may be the funniest thing I've read all day! Why would they give you back $200 you willingly have them? No, they won't give you the money back. They have a strict no refund policy. If you want to risk the money, go right ahead, but there are other things I'd like to spend the $200 on.

Yeah, it's not refundable per PV's TOS... but if you want to make a donation..! :)
(honestly, for me - I'm testing on Wednesday, no idea yet if I'll do PVT in a moment of desperation haha but hoping to stay strong because the reality is it actually means nothing even if it seems to be a vaguely accurate predictor - I'm freaking out enough that I may not care at that point and would just be happy to have passed LOL)

Hahahahahah! It hasn't been proven to be accurate! If you wish go ahead & look through post where people have negative experience with the PVT. Just because we have computers now doesn't mean everything needs to be instant.
Don't you realize how bad that is? I would rather wait weeks for a 100%, scored 5 times, proven answer than a trick that works as well as a Magic 8 Ball that someone may or may not have done right.
By the way, we're not just saying it's stupid & nah nah. We are giving examples for the stupid. But apparently everyone reads what they want to read.
As far as the $200, have fun donating to PV & not getting your money back. There are posts about that too.
Thats great. Until you have experienced the PVT, what is your input even worth? I utilized it and it was accurate. I passed. OH and I am an RN. And I still have my 200. So. Well worth it and so is my first hand experience with the PVT. Stop bashing something that you have ZERO experience with.

Oh, I'm sorry! I'm just a lowly LVN. Let me get out of your way big, bad RN! How long have you been working for again?
I will have my opinion. You can't change it & as long as I abide by the TOS I can voice my opinion. Don't like it? Leave.
By the way, back when I tested the PVT was actually really accurate, not now. Now you might as well flip a coin, use a Magic 8 Ball or ask a Genie because those are all great ways to find out. Also less riskier! By the way, it has been proven you can still get charged if you switch the date on a credit card as long as the credit card is still valid.

Her opinion IS valuable. We are all in this discipline together, and how we represent ourselves as a whole affects all of us. Being dismissive of her (and pointing out your own credentials - why, exactly?!) is inappropriate and unfair. Sharing your own experience is fine, but we need to be able to correct misconceptions on here (ie. 100% accuracy, ability to reclaim the money risked) so that people have the best information possible to make their own decision.
I am glad that you know the PVT is no longer accurate since you have firsthand experience with it here recently. Or was I one of the people who have recently utilized it? Oh yeah, thats right. Would you like to share how you know this PVT is not accurate?
I have done research, I have been on here a long time. Many people have come on here & other forums discussing how the PVT was inaccurate. One's first had experience does not matter, research is key. Or did you forget already? When writing a paper you don't use your experience. You do research on the topic & read more about it. It doesn't matter if I did the PVT or not. Read up on it, because it doesn't work for everyone.

Everything is relevant to us as this is a nursing forum.
I can say the PVT is 50% accurate & akin to flipping a coin (or using a magic 8 ball, whichever you like), because that is what you are doing. All it is, is a very costly & ridiculous trick. If you want to see if you passed check your state's BON or pay $8. Otherwise send me $200 & I can tell you with just as much certainty as the PVT.
There is a very specific way you have to do the "trick" now. I would say no one does it correctly because who the hell wants to lose $200???
