PVT 2015

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hey Y'all !!

I just wanted to clarify anyones doubts about the PVT as I too was skeptical until just recently. In a nutshell, I did the PVT and got the "good pop up" and I am now an RN!

Make sure you use a valid credit card but select a wrong expiration date. If you get prompted to indicate the correct expiration date then chances are you will need to retake the NCLEX RN  BUT, if it goes through and prompts you that you cannot reregister for this exam again, then chances are you won't have to take this exam again!!

Of course people will comment and beg to differ on this age old trick as I admit to doing so myself. But, I can say it did relieve some nerves until I was able to officially see my Quick Results. God bless to all !!! We are all capable in passing this exam, trust your SAFE judgements :bookworm:,and never !EVER! forget your ABC's ;)

can you tell me if you waited 24 hours after taking the exam before doing the PVT?

I did it immediately after finishing the exam and 24 hours later as well

i got the good pop up right after the test. it stayed that way until i got my license. i think you're gold after 24 hours.

The PVT works. I took the exam in November 2014 when I got home after my exam I didn't get the "good pop up". It took my money, I felt like dying literally. I picked myself up and told myself is not the end of the world. I went back to take the exam on jan 14 2015 when I got home I got the "good pop up" this time it didn't take my payment. 50hours later I checked and I had passed. Thank you Jesus. I am finally an RN, I can now practice. good luck to everyone else.

I took my nclex on Wednesday, the 28th of January. I decided to wait until Sunday to do the pvt. It took me straight to cc. Then I proceed to step 2 where i inputed my information. I clicked the submit button and my card decline because it doesnt have sufficient funds. I strongly believe i failed it because its attempting to charge me. It is what it is. My test stopped at 148 and my last 10 questions was triage qs, delagation, who to see first, and my last qs before my computer shut off was regarding a patient was admitted to the ER with pyloric stenosis what imbalance the patient presenting. Anyway... i thought i did ok by getting these qs but probably not. Ill keep you guys posted to my real results. At the meantime ill relaxe and restudied again next week.

What did you do differently this time around? Its really hard for me to study because I have kids.

Im in the state of California. Its been exactly a week now. I'd called the BRN and spoken to a gentleman over the phone. Im anticipating to pay for the reexamination fee again. He said my results is still pending. Then he checked another screen to see if a letter was generated meaning i failed which he said no. Based on this forum im speculating i failed. Im not even going to keep my hopes up. He also mentioned for me not to get ahead of myself because there was a recent situation a girl paid for her fee and find out later she passed. And she can not get refunded. What ill do is call the BRN next week again.

I m still confuse about pvt???

hello lysosome

trying to study while you take care of your family can be very difficult. try and wait for your results then u can know for sure. when I failed the first time I was heart broken but I had to pick myself up and fight back. this time around I reviewed information for about 2 weeks then did about 300 questions a day for 3 weeks. two weeks before my exam I took time off from work so I can focus better. when I did these questions at the end I read the rationales for both correct and incorrect answers. I have one daughter and studying and trying to care for her has been very hard. I had to sacrifice to go to sleep when she goes to sleep between 7 & 8pm then wake up around midnight or 1am to study till 4 or 5am when its most quite. it was very tough. I also worked with a tutor for a period of 2 weeks which greatly helped. forgot to mention that I did 3 different types of review Kaplan online demand was great with testing strategies, hurst online was awesome on content and this guy called dennis he does 4 hour reviews here in Massachusetts he was great at focusing on how to answer questions on prioritization and has great endocrine information. for more questions I did qbank from Kaplan and nclex 4000. the questions were very hard. the nclex 4000 dvd can purchase on amazon for about 32 dollars here is the li

Don't give up on your dream. hang in there and you will make it to the finish line. I just hope you passed. Good luck on finding out your results.

good luck

I took my NCLEX-RN this morning at 0800. I FREAKED when the exam ended at 75 questions because I literally felt like I only knew I was right about 15 of the questions and the rest are either SATA (which is my worst!) or questions with two right answers (no shock there, I got used to that in nursing school). In any event, I will post what my ultimate results are once my BON posts them, but I have done the PVT (remember to fill out the CC info and use a different exp date than is on your actual card) a million times since this morning and so far I keep getting the "good pop up". I'm not sure that I trust this -- but I'll be happy if what everyone else says is true and I will post my results when I know ...probably by 2/7/15. Good luck to my fellow skittish new grads!!!
