hello lysosome trying to study while you take care of your family can be very difficult. try and wait for your results then u can know for sure. when I failed the first time I was heart broken but I had to pick myself up and fight back. this time around I reviewed information for about 2 weeks then did about 300 questions a day for 3 weeks. two weeks before my exam I took time off from work so I can focus better. when I did these questions at the end I read the rationales for both correct and incorrect answers. I have one daughter and studying and trying to care for her has been very hard. I had to sacrifice to go to sleep when she goes to sleep between 7 & 8pm then wake up around midnight or 1am to study till 4 or 5am when its most quite. it was very tough. I also worked with a tutor for a period of 2 weeks which greatly helped. forgot to mention that I did 3 different types of review Kaplan online demand was great with testing strategies, hurst online was awesome on content and this guy called dennis he does 4 hour reviews here in Massachusetts he was great at focusing on how to answer questions on prioritization and has great endocrine information. for more questions I did qbank from Kaplan and nclex 4000. the questions were very hard. the nclex 4000 dvd can purchase on amazon for about 32 dollars here is the li NCLEX® Review 4000: Study Software for NCLEX-RN® (Individual Version) (NCLEX 4000): 9780781777902: Medicine & Health Science Books @ Amazon.com Don't give up on your dream. hang in there and you will make it to the finish line. Hello Thank you very much. All the glory to God and jesus his son. being nervous is part of the process for testing and Its normal. Trust me every person experiences the samething. in the next coming days try your best to continue doing as many questions as you can. Remember that this test is testing you to see how much safe nursing care you can provide for the patients at the bedside. When you are stuck with questions try to think this way. if i were to do or say only one thing to the patient and go home what would it be? There many other stratergies that I used. The PVT works. I took the exam in November 2014 when I got home after my exam I didn't get the "good pop up". It took my money, I felt like dying literally. I picked myself up and told myself is not the end of the world. I went back to take the exam on jan 14 2015 when I got home I got the "good pop up" this time it didn't take my payment. 50hours later I checked and I had passed. Thank you Jesus. I am finally an RN, I can now practice. good luck to everyone else.

Hello Everyone, I am new on this site and have enjoyed reading everyone's motivating messages. I graduated nursing school May 2014. I couldn't take the Nclex Rn right away cause I was going through some serious personal problems. plus I was working full time. First of all, I didn't even know how to study for this exam. So, I spoke to some of my former friends who took the Nclex and those I graduated with. All of them said the same thing just do questions everyday. so I did questions about 3000 and thought I was good to go take the exam. on the day of the exam I was very nervous. Took the exam and when I got home I did the pearson trick and didn't get the good poop up. off course 48hrs later I had failed. I was very frustrated and angry because that test was something I've never encountered before. At this time, I was feeling very stressed and didn't know what other way to study. Talking to my friends and former class mates didn't help me cause all they did was to have me not even prepare the right way. So, I decided to do my own research. I found great information on youtube and google. So I started following all of the instructions. I signed up for the HURST review it was awesome in content. Since I was lacking strategies on test taking I signed up with Kaplan ondemand and listen to Barbra Erwin teaching me how to answer questions she was Awesome. I also did all question from Kaplan. Since I wanted to test my knowledge further I did more questions from NCLEX 4000 very helpful cause the questions force you to critically think. With all of these tools I used, I had to put in so much time Into doing this. I worked a morning shift. So I would go to bed at about 7pm and wake up at 1am to study till 430am. Go back to sleep till 7am, wake up to get my daughter ready for daycare drop her and head to work after work pick her up and start the schedule again for about 3 weeks. 2 weeks before my exam I took 2weeks off from work. I would drop my daughter at 830am go to the library till they close for straight 2 weeks. within that time I also met with a tutor twice a week. I am happy to say that the intense schedule payed off because I passed my NCLEX RN. Ill tell you this, the journey of nursing school and preparing for the Nclex was painful and traumatizing. During my second time preparing I made sure not to study too long. I reviewed content for 2 weeks then used 3 weeks to do questions. There were days that I felt that I will never pass the Nclex and my dream of becoming a nurse is over. it was hard cause all of my friends had passed and I was definitely feeling the pressure. I want to take this moment to thank God for the strength, energy, courage, determination, perseverance. My loved ones were very supportive they would send me scriptures from the bible with motivating messages. For those still preparing for the NCLEX and feeling overwhelmed my advice is that you have to pray, use youtube, google, stay positive, and don't give up it's just a matter of time. God bless you

I currently work with DD and I enjoy it. I just passed my Nclex RN and will be applying the job with the same company cause i've worked for them for about 7 years. It's a very exciting environment to work at.
