PVT 2015

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey Y'all !!

I just wanted to clarify anyones doubts about the PVT as I too was skeptical until just recently. In a nutshell, I did the PVT and got the "good pop up" and I am now an RN!

Make sure you use a valid credit card but select a wrong expiration date. If you get prompted to indicate the correct expiration date then chances are you will need to retake the NCLEX RN  BUT, if it goes through and prompts you that you cannot reregister for this exam again, then chances are you won't have to take this exam again!!

Of course people will comment and beg to differ on this age old trick as I admit to doing so myself. But, I can say it did relieve some nerves until I was able to officially see my Quick Results. God bless to all !!! We are all capable in passing this exam, trust your SAFE judgements :bookworm:,and never !EVER! forget your ABC's ;)

UPDATE!

I checked in with the BON (28 hours post-NCLEX) and I PASSED!!! So evidently the PVT worked for me...and I didn't have to pay for quick results. Sooooo happy! Good luck everyone!

hello lysosome

trying to study while you take care of your family can be very difficult. try and wait for your results then u can know for sure. when I failed the first time I was heart broken but I had to pick myself up and fight back. this time around I reviewed information for about 2 weeks then did about 300 questions a day for 3 weeks. two weeks before my exam I took time off from work so I can focus better. when I did these questions at the end I read the rationales for both correct and incorrect answers. I have one daughter and studying and trying to care for her has been very hard. I had to sacrifice to go to sleep when she goes to sleep between 7 & 8pm then wake up around midnight or 1am to study till 4 or 5am when its most quite. it was very tough. I also worked with a tutor for a period of 2 weeks which greatly helped. forgot to mention that I did 3 different types of review Kaplan online demand was great with testing strategies, hurst online was awesome on content and this guy called dennis he does 4 hour reviews here in Massachusetts he was great at focusing on how to answer questions on prioritization and has great endocrine information. for more questions I did qbank from Kaplan and nclex 4000. the questions were very hard. the nclex 4000 dvd can purchase on amazon for about 32 dollars here is the li

Don't give up on your dream. hang in there and you will make it to the finish line. I just hope you passed. Good luck on finding out your results.

good luck

Thanks for responding back. I called the board again today and my results still pending. Im thinking if i failed they should have the results in aalready but the fact their telling me no letter was sent out.

Does pvt work (is it accurate) when you run out of time????

Hi guys, I just wanted to make sure everyone is aware that the PVT is NOT 100% accurate! I took my test Wednesday and it shut off after 75 questions. Naturally, I was freaking out. So, I went home and tried the PVT and did NOT get the good pop up. So again, I was freaking out. But this morning I decided to pay for my quick results even though I felt like I knew I failed (mainly because the PVT was telling me I failed) and, I PASSED. So, the trick didn't work for me. Moral of the story is the PVT is not always accurate, thats not to say that it doesn't work for some people, I'm just saying that don't get down if you don't get the good pop up...you still might of passed! My biggest piece of advice is to just wait for the quick results.

Good luck to anyone taking the NCLEX!!!
