PVAMU Spring 2011

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for PVAMU CON 2011 hopefulls! As you will see, I have a lot of questions and concerns! I am at Texas Southern University and I am applying for spring 2011. My science, core, and overall GPA's are above a 3.5 and i have taking the HESI and recieved 84 on math and grammar, 85 on reading comp, but i missed the A&P by 3pts.. i made a 72:mad:! But it was b/c i was taking the exam for UT and they require the vocab and i before i began the A&P section I was crying b/c i failed the vocab section.. i was ******! Anyways, any adive on what to study for the vocab section or A&P section (even though i found it somewhat easy)? I hope this thread will help us in the long run! :)

And if there is already a thread for sorry didnt find it! :idea:

I just received a letter for "provisional acceptance" for Spring 2011!!

Hey everyone, figured I would just add that I just got my provisional acceptence on saturday Oct 16. So the letters are still going out :). Good luck everyone

I had all the pre-reqs completed before I applied. I sent my application in a few months before the deadline so I'm not sure if they are sending letters out by order received.

I just received my letter of conditional acceptance with the small packet of all the things we need to complete yesterday! I hope the rest of you guys get yours soon.

Congrats to the rest who have been accepted!! Cant wait to meet ya'll classmates! I have a few questions... Are ya'll gonna enroll in the insurance through the school? Also, any of you know where I can get a physical and immunizations for cheap? I stay on the southwest side of Houston!

ugh i still havent got my letter :crying2: i think its cause im finishing almost all my science courses this semester...o well. as long as i dont get a letter saying they rejected me then ill stay calm. my friend says they r waiting till midterm to see how everyone like me is doing before making their choices..hope she is right :uhoh21:

I currently have health insurance through my work, but eventually I will work part-time only when school begins,hopefully I get to stay part-time with benefits but if not I will then get the student insurance, because I don't think its that expensive compared to an independent health insurance. Usually community health centers... ah and UTMB health clinics do physicals for an affordable price. Just go on line and enter UTMB health clinics and they have different locations. Oh for the drug test do you have an idea how much that is? I dont think my insurance would cover that one..The criminal background is only$6 and if you go in person you get it right then and there. I've already scheduled my CPR class.. through the American Heart Assoc. check out their website..

Blackberry: Don't loose hope, I've learned that's the last thing you can do, and never, never loose hope, just have faith in God. Also, there's still lots of time so you might get yours soon.

Ok thanks! I have already completed everything all I have to do is my physical and possible immunizations! Hopefully I can get that done tomorrow and be mailing my packet out so that it can get there next week! Also, really you're gonna work during school? How often? Im quiting my job at Wells Fargo because I know ill have to adapt but I am looking for like a weekend job for like 3-5 hrs a day on the weekend.
