PVAMU Spring 2011

Published

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for PVAMU CON 2011 hopefulls! As you will see, I have a lot of questions and concerns! I am at Texas Southern University and I am applying for spring 2011. My science, core, and overall GPA's are above a 3.5 and i have taking the HESI and recieved 84 on math and grammar, 85 on reading comp, but i missed the A&P by 3pts.. i made a 72:mad:! But it was b/c i was taking the exam for UT and they require the vocab and i before i began the A&P section I was crying b/c i failed the vocab section.. i was ******! Anyways, any adive on what to study for the vocab section or A&P section (even though i found it somewhat easy)? I hope this thread will help us in the long run! :)

And if there is already a thread for sorry didnt find it!

but are they the newest editions?? tats wat makes me weary. i dont wanna order and the editions be off.

everyone:im not sure of the financial aid and how that works.. im concerned about that too..did ya'lls pack include the scholarship form? i know it was given to selected ppl but just wondering.. also the in the packet they told us to purchase the new editions.

Angel1990: Im at PV on scholarship so i cant help you out. Did you recieve the scholarship info in the packet? Maybe you can contact the financial aid office for CON and for maincampus. One of them should be able to help you.

Oh and if anyone is stuck on campus (like me :crying2: lol) or anywhere else, you CAN get someone to go to the courthouse for you to get your background check. they will need your social security number, and it wouldnt hurt for them to have your id, so obviously use someone you TRUST to get it.

Hey y'all, I got a provisional acceptance, turned all the required documents in. Do anyone know when we will get a final acceptance letter. I am so anxious I need to be sure I am in

Hey y'all the counselor said there is no final letter that if we don't get a letter of rejection stating why then just show up to mandatory orientation. I guess I answered myself.

Hi everyone, I am new to this thread, I participated in the one for UT Houston Spring 2011, but I will be starting the BSN program with you all in the Spring at PVAMU! :) I haven't even seen the college yet, I hope it's nice, and the instructors and students will get along well!

Hi congrats on ur admission, the campus look really nice, considering I have only been on the first floor and bookstore and garage. I have had a few encounter with a couple of staff and they are not the nicest people in the world.

Hello everyone,

Is anyone attending the transfer day at the CON campus at the med center on 11/18/2010?

Hope to see you all there!!

Congratulations on everyone who got accepted to the CON.

I'm a semester 1 student, which means it wasn't long ago when i was in your position :-D

It's nice to see/hear/read (lol) of y'alls excitement. Even after taking summer school and almost rounding out the semester my excitement level is still pretty high considering how different the program is which is a good thing.

Let me know if y'all have any questions.

Once again congrats. Can't wait to see ya'll.

yay! its good to c a fellow PV poster again! i read through all the old PV threads and havent seen most of yall on here since then. hows everything going for you, having almost completed your first semester?? details, details and more details pleasee :D

I have a tough choice to make because I have also been accepted to another bsn program far away from Houston which seems to be a very good program, and I am debating whether I should start in the spring at Prairie View, or the other university. I would prefer to stay close to Houston, but I'm trying to choose the best school. Can you all say what the program here is like? Is it really unorganized, as others have previously mentioned on here? Are the instructors helpful? Are students in the program ethnically diverse? I'd appreciate any advice.
