PVAMU Spring 2011

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for PVAMU CON 2011 hopefulls! As you will see, I have a lot of questions and concerns! I am at Texas Southern University and I am applying for spring 2011. My science, core, and overall GPA's are above a 3.5 and i have taking the HESI and recieved 84 on math and grammar, 85 on reading comp, but i missed the A&P by 3pts.. i made a 72:mad:! But it was b/c i was taking the exam for UT and they require the vocab and i before i began the A&P section I was crying b/c i failed the vocab section.. i was ******! Anyways, any adive on what to study for the vocab section or A&P section (even though i found it somewhat easy)? I hope this thread will help us in the long run! :)

And if there is already a thread for sorry didnt find it! :idea:

I have 1 question for you...For the drug test did you receive the results immediately or did you have to wait days to get it? Thank you!

They just gave me the form we're supposed to recieve and then the school recieves the results

Do you know anything about finacial aid? when is the deadline.. I've never applied for it before, I have a scholarship, but I would definitely need a federal student loan...

yay!!!! we all got in!!! im so happy!!! i cant wait to meet ya'll during the induction or those of yo who are going to the transfer oreintation! and i went to that location but they took the form and my id.

i didnt c a form for the background check in our packets. was it another form tat u filled out there? im asking because im tryin to get my dad to pick it up for me witgout me being there. i spoke wit someone tat says i could do tat but i was jus making sure...

hi I've just been accepted tp pvamu nursing and was wondering if you knew when the first day was, and how our schedule is going to be, such as what time we go to school and when does it end. I'm just trying to have babysitting squared away that's why I'm asking.

mblade06: im guessing school starts on the 17th of january simply cause orientation is the 10th-12th of january. We find out our schedule during orientation, so we wont know for sure about our class times till then.

everyone: how are yall planning to pay for books?? i picked out the books ill most likely buy from pv, books ill ATTEMPT to purchase online (never done it before, but tryna save money) and books imma rent from the library. If anyone finds any of the books (latest edition), tell us!! lol btw imma call CON bookstore tomorro to find out the bookstore price and isbn numbers, so ill post that when i get a chance.

some of the books can be found on line at half.com, amazon etc.

One question for the transfer student orientation when is it going to be? How do we resgister for the new transfer student orientation and the one for the Jan 10- 13, (is this one at the medical center campus?)

I went online as advised on the sheet, but the only option (dates) they have is 12/08/2010..
