PVAMU Spring 2011

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for PVAMU CON 2011 hopefulls! As you will see, I have a lot of questions and concerns! I am at Texas Southern University and I am applying for spring 2011. My science, core, and overall GPA's are above a 3.5 and i have taking the HESI and recieved 84 on math and grammar, 85 on reading comp, but i missed the A&P by 3pts.. i made a 72:mad:! But it was b/c i was taking the exam for UT and they require the vocab and i before i began the A&P section I was crying b/c i failed the vocab section.. i was ******! Anyways, any adive on what to study for the vocab section or A&P section (even though i found it somewhat easy)? I hope this thread will help us in the long run! :)

Angel 1990, From where did you study anatomy?? yes hopefully I can take it before the deadline.. I only did bad in anatomy I want to bring my grade UP in grammar and reading TOO.what do you recommend? Congratulations!

I finished my anatomy and physiology courses at prairie view. finished it last semester.

Just an update... I e-mailed the admissions' counselor at the Houston center to ask about when would the applicants find out if they have been accepted or not. and she said that no letter be going out before Oct. 1 the deadline. So anytime after 10/01/10...counting.....31 days(mostlikely more)...etc lol

Has anybody applied to any other nursing school besides PVAMU?

sorry ya'll ive been mia due to school! but i took A&P during the summer at hcc! and yea they told me we wont get any letter until after oct 1st... =(... i pray to God we all get in!!

Hello Everyone,

just an update. I called the CON today and asked about when would the applicants be notified if they have been accepted or not and the lady said probably at the end of October.

Hello everyone! Any updates? :idea: It might be too soon right.. I was looking through previous years treads and it seems like they receive some sort of news sometime mid October.. Lets us know if you hear anything. Good Luck to all!

i think its too soon. i think we start recieveing letters from late october all the way to even december, at least thats what ive seen on previous threads. I hope none of us will have to wait till december though!

fyi: mrs T said that she hasnt recieved alotta apps from pv students this semester, like around 20, tops. so alot more transfer students will be accepted than usual.
