I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for PVAMU CON 2011 hopefulls! As you will see, I have a lot of questions and concerns! I am at Texas Southern University and I am applying for spring 2011. My science, core, and overall GPA's are above a 3.5 and i have taking the HESI and recieved 84 on math and grammar, 85 on reading comp, but i missed the A&P by 3pts.. i made a 72:mad:! But it was b/c i was taking the exam for UT and they require the vocab and i before i began the A&P section I was crying b/c i failed the vocab section.. i was ******! Anyways, any adive on what to study for the vocab section or A&P section (even though i found it somewhat easy)? I hope this thread will help us in the long run! :)

And if there is already a thread for sorry didnt find it!

ok. well i hope everything goes well for you, and all of us :). if you have any more questions ill try to answer them.

btw, i got a response from mrs.T and she said we have to mail the applications in, no walk in applications are allowed.

o ok i see, youre at PVAMU! I am attending Texas southern so ill be tranferring. I believe our instructions are fairly different! But yea I wish you the best of luck as well and hopefully we both get acceptance! God willing! ill try to keep you posted on my stats and you do the same! =D

hahaha okay then! ill try!

Hello everyone,

I've also applied to PVAMU for Spring 2011. I've completed basically everything except for a computer class, which I'm taking this fall. So, I finally received the application for nursing-upper division clinical studies and it is completely different than I expected. It is only one sheet of paper (purple) I expected a whole packet.. did everyone else get this same application. Also I didn't see anything about an essay or letters or recommendation..

Is this for the PVAMU Houston campus? Thank you

Are you a transfer student as well?

If so, i think its because the application is different for transfers, im not sure though Angel1990 may know. The info should also be on the PVAMU website. If not, contact the program director, mrs.A.

And yes, the clinical division is located in houston, tx

Blackberry_281: Thanks!

I am a transfer student, and I think thats why it might be a little different. I asked Mrs. A. and she said the essay is no longer required. I went ahead and turn in my application for upper Clinical studies w/ a Letter of Recommendation, which you don't have to either, but since I already had one I did. Good Luck to everyone!

wow, this makes me wish I was a transfer student lol

I hope this waiting period goes by fast!!!!!!!Otherwise my nerves will wreck:uhoh3: lol
