Providence TIPS New Grad May 2022

Hi!

I didn't see a board for Providence SoCal TIPS New grad Residency program for May 2022, so I thought I'd start one.

I applied for the program on February 10th. I applied to both Providence St. Joseph Burbank and Providence Holy Cross Mission hills- Externally. Right after I received the self-paced text screen questions. On February 15th, I got an email to schedule a live video interview. But when I went to schedule it on the website, it said there wasn't any available dates or times. I emailed the recruiter and she said that they were waiting to see if they were going to open up more interviews as all of them had been taken. She said they were trying to add more dates. 

Where is everyone in this process? and if you got an invitation to interview-- did you have the same problem?

Hello! I applied after you but didn't have any problems. I applied after midnight on Feb. 11th and also got the self-paced questions. Then I got the email to schedule an interview like 20 minutes after, and I saw only one date open with multiple time slots. I thought it was all automated because the email to schedule an interview came at nearly 1 AM.

Hmmm that’s so weird…

I asked the recruiter today when they were gonna open more time slots for mission hills.

what location did you apply for? And are you applying internally (already and employee) or externally?

can I ask when your interview is and for what unit?

I’m applying for the fellowship program.. immediately after submitting the application, I received a link for the self paced questions. Also received an invitation for a live video interview.

Definitely reach out to the recruiter again, as time slots will continue to be updated and open up.

Ohh, I applied for Orange, so maybe the process is slightly different depending on location? I’m an external candidate, and my interview is next week on Thursday. The email didn’t specify a unit, it just said it’s a panel interview.

My interview isn’t until March, so I’m wondering if one application is sufficient or if I should apply to different program openings. ?
 

ETA Applied to Santa Monica and Torrance locations to increase chances. ?

Hi! I submitted my application to the New Grad Program in Torrance yesterday and received an automated email for a self-paced text interview. Shortly after completing the text interview, I received an email to schedule a live video interview with two dates available, both this week. I wasn’t expecting for all of it to happen so fast but I guess I just need to turn these nerves into excitement! I’m gonna be spending the days leading up to the interview preparing and practicing answers to questions. Good luck to us!

Also, reading the comments on here, I’m thinking every hospital is different when it comes to scheduling interviews, depending on their need for nurses. A friend of mine who’s part of the January 2022 TIP program at Torrance told me yesterday that she waited 1 month to get scheduled for an interview, so they might be looking to hire more nurses this time around. This is all speculation though. I hope we all get interviewed sooner or later!

I submitted my application to St. Jude on Feb 17th and was invited to schedule an interview the next day. I just had my interview today (2/22) with them. 

I also applied to St Joseph in Orange, LCM Torrance, and St Joseph in Burbank.

Congrats on the interview! How did it go?

do you know if they interview separately for each individual location or is it just one interview for all locations you applied to?
