City of Hope - Duarte New Grad RN Residency Program (September 2024)

Published

Hello,

I'm not sure if one was already created for this cohort, but I couldn't find one! I am starting this thread for updates for the September residency program (interviews, questions, support, and general updates).

Hoping to meet some new people!

I applied to COH today! Good luck to all

Hi how did you find the application.. I can't seem to find it

In the application, you'll choose two units.

I just applied today! Man, applying to new grad programs has been rough for me. Is anyone else experiencing that too?

I have my license already. I think that as long as you have your license by September you should be fine. Also, applications will be open until the end of the month (June 28th).

are there multiple locations for the residency? I thought in a webinar they said it was just the duarte campus but I see other postings for irvine, glendale, etc.

Hello! I applied for pediatrics so fingers crossed for us! I'm not sure if y'all had oncology preceptorship and rotations, but my school didn't have that. I still took care of patients with cancer so I wrote about that in my cover letter so hopefully that doesn't deter me!

Very much so. The stuff they tell you in nursing school about "oh you'll find a job quick" was straight BS LOL

Hello ! By any chance would anyone know if once the application is submitted we can make changes to the documents that were uploaded such as resume? Like delete and re-upload? Thank you in advance !

Hi! I submitted mine on June 3 and can still make changes, including deleting and re-uploading files. I believe we can do so until the application closes.

Also, does anyone know if we upload letters of recommendation?
