Providence TIPS April 2021

Published

Hello!

This will be the thread for all those applying to Providence SOCAL April 2021!

I submitted my application today. This is my second time applying. I applied for the September (didn't have my RN lic at the time) cohort but didn't get selected for an in person interview. Last time I was requested to do a video interview. This time I received a self paced text only interview.

Best of luck to everyone ?

I start the new grad program at the Apple valley location next week. There is no contract or 2 year commitment.

Hello Fellow Applicants,

If you are currently at another hospital as a new grad RN but only since late November, would you still apply to the TIP program with writing down you have that experience or apply as a "fresh new grad"?

This goes for any new grad/hospital position

Any advice would help :)

Also when does the application close?

Hey! Not sure what you're asking exactly but you would still be eligible to apply for the Providence TIP program if you've worked at another acute hospital for 6 months or less, as long as you meet the other requirements for the new graduate RN.

If you're asking whether or not you should include that experience in your application, I highly recommend not hiding it. When you're filling out paperwork and providing your SSN, your prior employments will come up in a background check.

The Providence TIP application closes on Monday, January 25. Hope this helps!

Hi, just curious if anyone has heard anything from either location!

Specializes in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant.

Hello everyone! I applied for the Fellowship program for both LA and OC locations. For the OC locations it never asked me for my unit preferences which I thought was strange just the location. Was anyone able to choose what units they would like to be considered for? Also I never got a confirmation email as well after submitting it and it does not show up on my submissions list. I submitted it twice just in case I forgot to press submit the first time but it is still not showing up? Did this happen to anyone as well?

Hey! I haven't heard from either locations yet. But my application status is currently as follows:

LA: We are reviewing your application.

  • We are currently reviewing your application. We will continue to share updates with you as decisions are made regarding the next step in the process. If you are unsure about next steps, please contact your recruiter, or email our Candidate Care Center for more information.

OC: Thank you! We have received your submission.

  • Thank you very much for your interest and application for this position! We’ll be reviewing your application soon and will contact you directly for an interview if your profile matches our hiring needs. Since we receive a large volume of applications, the process may take several days to several weeks. Please be patient if you haven’t heard back from us in that time. We want to be sure each application, including yours, gets the proper attention and careful consideration it deserves.

Hmm, I didn't apply for the RN Fellowship TIP Program so I can't answer that. But for both the RN Resident TIP Program applications (LA & OC), I was asked to select my top 2-3 unit preferences.

If you never received a confirmation email and if you don't see your application on your dashboard, I would suggest submitting again. Try a different browser and also be sure to check your junk/spam folder.

Who did y'all address your letter of intent to?

I addressed it "To the Providence Hiring Committee/Manager." You can also keep it simple and use "To Whom It May Concern" ?

Did anyone else see that the LA job posting for the residency has expired? Anyone know a work around??

Does anybody know anybody who has been hired before having their RN license? Do they do that sort of thing as long as you'll have it before the start date?

Yes, they do. 2 of my friends both got hired with Providence before taking the NCLEX
