Providence TIPS April 2021

Nurses Job Hunt

Hello!

This will be the thread for all those applying to Providence SOCAL April 2021!

I submitted my application today. This is my second time applying. I applied for the September (didn't have my RN lic at the time) cohort but didn't get selected for an in person interview. Last time I was requested to do a video interview. This time I received a self paced text only interview.

Best of luck to everyone ?

It says completed! What about you? I am thinking I might still do it anyways because I think it would have said denied or not considered if that was the case.

Mine says: "We are reviewing your application"

Has anyone responded to your email?

Unfortunately no, but I received an email that was another reminder to do the HireVue, so I just went ahead and did it. Hoping for the best ??

My status for the Providence LA app says: We are reviewing your application. But my Providence OC status is “Completed.” Does anyone know what “Completed” means?

That is what both of mine say as well. Not sure what it means either

Hi guys!

I applied to both LA/OC locations and both of my applications status' are "Thank you! We have received your submission."

Wishing luck to you all! Fingers crossed for us.

Hi Everybody, I applied today and also completed the text interview. How long after completing this did you all receive the video interview?

You only get the self-paced video interview if you applied for the Providence OC locations! :) I received it almost immediately after submitting my application. Here's the link again if you want to apply for Providence OC locations: https://stjhs.referrals.selectminds.com/jobs/transition-into-practice-tip-April-2021-RN-resident-new-grad-orange-county-locations-58850?fbclid=IwAR3vKbkCD7RiLc5xKTRQLmqcBREKMtK9qZIcCUOUHhRfhJJYyLgjMIOLwGg

Oh I see! Thanks, but I won’t be applying for OC.

Does anyone know how many spots are open/interviews they're doing? I'm applying as soon as I get letter of rec from a professor... Really hoping to relocate from AK to CA.

Hello, I would like to know this as well. I just applied myself. Have you applied to other programs as well?

Hey guys. Is it a 2 year commitment afterwards? I had asked on a FB group and one person who was previously apart of it said yes and another said she heard no. My decision to apply is based on that unfortunately.

From what I've heard it is for sure a 2-year commitment after residency. I know from different Prov locations depending on the unit you sign to if you break the contract you have to pay back a large amount. I've heard it can range anywhere from $300 to $900 a month for the duration of the contract left. It's the same with their tuition reimbursement.
